I didn’t want to miss the chance to congratulate Redleg Nation favorite Reggie Sanders on hitting his 300th career homerun yesterday. While that is impressive by itself, Sanders also became just the fifth player in Major League Baseball history with at least 300 homers and 300 stolen bases.

The other five? Barry Bonds, Willie Mays, Andre Dawson, and Bobby Bonds. Impressive group.

Reggie Sanders has gone on to have a nice career after leaving Cincinnati, and we couldn’t be happier for him. Sanders was always a classy Red, and a wonderful representative of the organization.

Sanders has had a great career, while flying under the radar. Very few fans, would ever realize he’s put up those types of numbers.
