Cincinnati Reds drop Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-1, pull within half-game of playoff berth

Nice to be scoreboard-watching in mid-September, isn't it? The Cincinnati Reds continue to inspire hope in their faithful fans at Redleg Nation and beyond, tonight winning their fourth straight and fifth of their past six tonight with a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. There are a number of games still underway which will all have an effect on the playoff seeding race.

Reds drop crucial game in St. Louis, time running out in 2020

he Reds took an early lead for a fourth consecutive game. Unfortunately, that has resulted in just a 2-2 record. Tejay Antone could not get an out in the fourth inning, and the Reds top relievers in 2020, Lucas Sims and Amir Garrett combined to give up 5 runs and 3 home runs.

Reds bats cold in loss at St. Louis

The Reds offense could not get anything going on Saturday night. It has unfortunately become an all too common theme for the 2020 Reds. Kwang-Hyun Kim recorded his first big league win tonight for the Cardinals, as he allowed just 3 hits and 0 walks over six strong innings.
