Hunter Greene destroys records, but Reds drop 5th straight game

Hunter Greene threw 39 pitches above 100+ in his hometown of Los Angeles. Greene dominated the mighty Dodgers for five innings. Unfortunately for Greene and the Reds, an elite hitter in Trea Turner caught up to a fairly well located 98.9 MPH fastball and blasted it into the left field seats. Greene would leave later in the inning after 80 pitches, but finished the night throwing just shy of 50% of his pitches above the century mark.

Reds lose third straight despite Aquino and Drury’s heroics

The Cincinnati Reds fell behind 3-0 early on Thursday night with an assist to some tough luck to opener, Luis Cessa. The Reds for all their flaws, never quit. Aristides Aquino had looked as bad as you possibly could in his first two trips to the plate, but battled back from an 0-2 count to make it a 1-run game in the 6th inning.

RN Recap: Reds lose third straight as the bats are silent again

Tyler Mahle struggled early and the Reds trailed 4-0 after two innings. That would be more than enough for Kenta Madeda and the Dodgers as the Reds offense could never get anything going tonight. The Reds have now lost 3 straight games immediately following their four game win streak.

Cincinnati Reds at Los Angeles Dodgers – April 15, 2019

The Cincinnati Reds (5-9) have won four of their last five games and will start the first of seven games in California tonight. Before playing against the first place Padres this weekend, they'll start a three game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers (9-8) at 10:10 PM. The Dodgers started the season 8-2, but they have lost six of seven since (all coming against the Cardinals and Brewers).
