Brady Singer
After having a very poor start on July 21st coming out of the All-Star break, Brady Singer has allowed one run in 13.1 innings while striking out 18 batters in the two outings since then.
The splits this season for Singer are big, but really only impactful in one way. Left-handed hitters are hitting for a little more average and that carries over to a higher on-base percentage. But it’s their advantage in power that really makes the difference. Righties are walking a bit more, but they aren’t hitting for average or any power.

Paul Skenes
The last time out, Paul Skenes had one of his worst starts of the year when he allowed four runs in 5.0 innings in Colorado. It was only the second time in his last six starts he even gave up a run. It was also the only time in his last six starts in which he walked more than one batter (two). Cincinnati faced Skenes three times in 2024, but they have yet to see him in the 2025 season (he allowed one run in 17.0 innings with 25 strikeouts and two walks).
The splits for Skenes aren’t big and neither group is hitting well in any capacity. With that said, left-handed hitters are doing slightly better across the board. Lefties have a 40 point OPS advantage that is mostly tied up in a handful more of singles.

News and Notes
What has happened to Chase Petty?
After his start on July 1st, Petty had an ERA of 2.93 in Triple-A. But over the six starts since then the 22-year-old has posted an ERA over 11.00 and his ERA on the year has nearly doubled. At RedsMinorLeagues.com I took a look at a whole lot of stuff that could be at least some of what’s led to the struggles and there’s a whole lot going on there.

Just hope as we go forward Tito can find a way to get Andujar and Fraley some more at bats and not by setting Marte.
Glad to see Marte in RF. I’m all onboard with it for this season and the future.
Need to be patient with Skenes to have a chance and pick the opportunities. It will also help if somebody could find Jobu and get him at least 50% sober by game time.
Looking for the good version of Singer and 6-7 innings. Let’s lower the Jolly Roger on these Pie-Rats.
I know we all want, maybe even expect, to win this series against the lowly Pirates. But looking at the pitching matchups, that may be easier said than done.
(8/7) Skenes vs Singer = This one looks heavily tilted in favor of the Pirates, unless we get the Singer that shut down the Rays and Braves over his last 2 starts (13.1 IP, 1 ER).
(8/8) Burns vs Keller = This one also seems to favor the Pirates. Keller has had a solid season, while Burns has both flashed potential and battled inconsistency.
(8/9) Martinez vs TBA = The Pirates may end up using Johan Oviedo in this spot, but regardless of what they do, the Reds should have an advantage here.
(8/10) Littell vs Burrows = Even if Littell doesn’t replicate his outstanding start against the Cubs, Cincy should still be favored in this one too.
So the pitching matchups seem to point to a 2-2 series split, despite the Pirates’ struggles. But consider that the Reds are about to play a 4-game series, and none of those games will be started by our Big Three of Hunter Greene, Nick Lodolo, or Andrew Abbott.
Good but discouraging point.
I definitely hope I’m wrong but this could be a trap series if our bats don’t do better than they’ve done so far in August. Pittsburgh is well above .500 at home. Pittsburgh pitches better than expected too. Hopefully 5-9 hitters can help the struggling 2 and 4 hitter. And when I say McLain I’m talking his sub .200 avg on the road on the season.
I predict that Burns throws a gem tomorrow.
That’ll be nice if the Reds don’t face Falter, their lefty.
He was pretty strong against the Reds in two starts already this season.
7 shutout innings back in May.
A playoff team would take 3 of 4
batters need to go up to the plate with a plan and attack Skenes before he gets two strikes on em off the bat. Reds batters let themselves of holes behind in the count passively looking when they gotta have an idea what’s coming.
Reds hitters, first of all, need to hit tonight! They need to be both selective and patient when facing Skenes tonight and try and run his pitch count up which is what the Rockies did in Skenes last start! I envision another low scoring game likely decided late and involving both bullpens!
As always, the Reds offense can make life much easier for Singer by scoring early!
Let’s get this 4-game series started off right with a win!
i wonder if the new third baseman Hayes can offer any insight into Skenes for his new teammates?
Skenes has tended to run deep counts this year, 4.06 pitches per PA, league average is 3.86. Maybe that’s because every team facing him goes up there with the same idea…
He doesn’t give up many baserunners though so he averages 6 innings a start on the nose. 95 pitches.
Pirates vs Singer
#1 Horowitz – 3 PA: 0-2 w 1 BB
#2 Gonzalez – 0-3
#3 Reynolds – 11 PA: 2-10 w 0 BB, 3 K, 1 2B
#4 Cruz – 6 PA: 2-5, 1 BB, 1 K
#5 McCutcheon – 0-3 w 3 K
#6 Suwinski – 2 PA: 0-1 w 1 BB
#7 Triolo – 0-2
#8 Davis – 2 PA: 1-1 w 1 BB
#9 Kiner-Falefa (Look out!) 17 PA: 6-14 w 2 BB, 2 K, 1 2B
The Pirates have arguably the worst offense in MLB (PIT 82 OPS+, COL 83 OPS+)
They have the worst team SLG% in MLB
(#30 PIT.345, #29 CHW .370, MLB average .390, CIN .405)
The Pirates do not hit well, they strike out a lot, they don’t draw walks, they don’t steal bases, and they don’t score runs.
(runs: PIT #30 407, COL #29 424, MLBa 507, CIN #12 521)
The Pirates in July:
.215 BA, .585 OPS
Only 11 HR in 825 PA! …But they’ve hit 9 HR in August.
It looks like they’ve played pretty solid defense, but they just traded their Gold Glove third baseman. 😉
They have really good starting pitching so even though those offensive numbers are laughable, they’ve been playing .500 baseball for more than a month.
Great to see McLain make first pitch contact and get a hit.
Double steal maybe? Try to get to Skenes early seems smart.
Just what I was thinking and instead we get the GIDP…
And nothing. 2 guys on base that are above average base stealers too.
Not sure why stealing isn’t part of the Reds game plan.
Davis is less than 20% caught stealing too.
Hays….if you’re going to swing at ball 4 on a 3-1 count, then just swing on 3-0….because you know it’s probably gonna be a strike…then you hit into a DP…thanks a lot
Sure why not. Unfortunately Tito doesn’t do that.
No steal and its a DP.
3-1, swung at ball 4, battled hard, then tapped one up the middle for the GIDP.
Didn’t really run up Skenes count much in the process. Why not at least try that double steal?
I knew the Reds were in trouble when Hays took that cookie at 3-0. Reynolds did not return the favor.
Of course. Hays swings at clear ball 4 atleast twice. He can walk
Hays still stinking it up and Andujar still
Sitting… Don’t get it ONE SINGLE BIT !!!
Would rather see Andujar instead of Hays .
so you had 2 fast guys on 1st & 2nd ….so just let them sit there and wait for the DP…way to use your speed
I might not be seeing this correctly, but it looks like teams have only tried to steal 10 times on Skenes in 46 career starts?
That must not be right?
Cement mixer over the fence … SMH.
Ugh, ugly indeed. Probably one of the few Pirates that I’d even worry about hitting a home run too. Just laid that right over the plate.
Singer that was absolutely TEREIBLE.
Hays is now 2 for 18 in August after doing nothing special in June and July since returning from injury.
i don’t need to see him here next season, IMO
+1
2 runs might get enough with Skenes on the mound. That’s why you push the envelope and let your 2 fastest runners steal. Nah not Tito.
Hays seems to be a double-play machine!
That was his 7th GIDP in 66 games this season.
And hosed out of a K.
Oneil Cruz walks after beinng down 0-2. Already over 20 pitches for Singer. Good grief!
And now another…
Some crappy calls though too.
Singer hit the black on a 2 strike pitch to Cruz. Guarantee Skenes gets that call
And Singer doesn’t help his own cause AT ALL!!
Singer can’t throw the ball over the plate …
That’s what I’m seeing too. How long can this last ?
Hays grounding into that double play might be more motivation for Tito to move him down in the order.
We need a cleanup hitter so bad..Lord have mercy..how many more inning ending _DP is he ,meaning hays.going to hit into rest ur..
A horrible start, quit playing Hays, you traded for Andujar, play him.
McCutcheon vs Singer career – 0-3 w 3 K
Geesh. Singer is giving freebies to the worst offense in baseball.
Radio guys are saying “he’s not far off” from making good pitches.
I dunno.
Yeah … I rolled my eyes a little on that statement.
C’mon, Singer. You’re needed here.
Reds playing down to opposition again …
Bout had it with Singer this game
Do you know what the Reds record is against losing teams this season?
No and I don’t care … they have a
tendency to do this A LOT !
I’m using my eyes … watched em all year do this …don’t care about the stats Leonard
He keeps this up, it’s gonna be another bullpen game.
this game could be over soon
This inning is why this series scares me. This could be a long series.
Likely game over.
Hate to be a pessimist just a realist.
Head case
Singer that is ..
Ballgame unbelievable – 2 outs nobody on
Walks haunt again.
Again, my main Pet Peeve with Reds pitchers! Both walks with 2 outs!
Singer can go too. He sucks
ERA under 4.00 in his last ten starts before tonight.
And that includes the terrible 2 inning start in DC.
He has pitched 115 innings for the Reds. Do you know their rotation and bullpen would without him?
Incredible how Singer fell apart after 2 outs bases empty…lost his focus?
just his body language tells you everything you need to know
He served up a cookie to Reynolds at 3-0 which Reynolds jumped all over. I suspect that is what messed wth his focus.
Ballgame .. unbelievable
House of horrors – 2 outs nobody on –
PATHETIC EFFORT ON THE MOIND SINGER
It’s one thing for Paul Skenes to beat you. It’s another thing to let the Pie-Rats beat you.
Right now, we’re beating ourselves primarily courtesy of Singer.
Could be a short night for me. 3-run hole is mighty deep here.
I’m with you Mark! Been a tough work week and I don’t need to watch this disaster much longer!
3 runs and a pc of 36. Not good.
Can’t wait for the bengals game to start. This one’s over.
Stay tuned!
This one is gonna be 3-3 when we go to the bullpens.
I like your optimism.
My guess is that Francona will put Singer back out there for the 2nd … But that would not be my choice !
So much for a sweep, hoping for a split. If not this season is all but over. Nice job Hays and Singer.
I agree a 2-2 split will end the Red’s hope for 2025.
NOT a good start by Singer! A HR followed by a 2-out WALK! Then another WALK to a .118 hitter! Plus, a 2-out single to a .168 hitter for a 3-0 Pirates lead! Notwithstanding a 36-pitch 1st inning!
This game has probably been lost in the 1st inning!
3-0 looks insurmountable against Skenes…even in the 2nd inning
With a 3-0 lead, Skenes is just raring back and throwing! I see a shutout coming!
Giving up three walks in one inning. Someone remind Singer that the lineup he’s facing has a cleanup guy hitting .208 and the 6-7-8 hitters are .118, .173, and .163.
i gonna guess the reds will probably not score a run in this game
You just can’t have this happen in a must win series. Time for football, this team just doesn’t have what it takes.
this is not the way to show you’re in the wildcard race
Way to battle back Reds! Down 1-2-3! NO fight in this team!
They’re putting the ball in play against one of the pitchers in the game.
Skenes has a 1.85 ERA at home this year
I’m seriously considering switching back to my laptop (sound off) so First Wife and I can watch something we enjoy.
As Dennis said, it’s been a tough work week and I need some relaxation. This is NOT relaxing at all.
Watching the Exorcist would be better than watching this game!
+10,000
That’s a gem!
If the Reds lose this series, the season will be essentially over.
The Reds need to win at least 3 out of the 4 games against the Pirates this weekend. A 2-2 draw or Losing 3 of 4 against the Pirates, will be the death knell for the Reds in 2025.
I said in an earlier post this week that this 13-game stretch against the Cubs, Pirates, Phillies and Brewers was critical to any hope for the Reds to maintain pace with the Mets and Padres! Ideally, a 7-6 record would be considered a success! I was assuming the Reds would be able to take 3 of 4 against the Pirates! Guess NOT!
Gloves it … ALMOST rolls it to Steer …
OK, they’ve bought another inning from me 😉
Singer’s underhand to first – in the dirt ! About sums up how he’s been on the mound… not smooth to say the least.
Let Singer go at years end and sign Littell ….
I agree
Class act, Pie-Rats fans!!
That’s a homecoming statement 😀
Very classy.
Nice job Matty!
gotta beat the rat and nats if they want to be relevant
Wasted on a pitch outside.
2 innings with 2 on and nothing…
Ain’t gonna cut it.
Tough call on Elly there. He probably went, but he didn’t want to.
Reds are putting men on base against Skenes tonight. He’s not that sharp.
+1
They seem to have a good game plan against him.
Too bad Singer brought his gas can to mound this game … Skenes looks like he might be gettable this game ….
4 early hits off Skenes and nothing to show for it. Hopefully, that will change. Need that HR.
A chance for Elly to get a big hit and it just doesn’t happen.
Skenes looks to be hittable today. Reds just have not got a big hit. How long can Singer hold the deficit at 3?
not long
I was hoping for a better performance from Singer tonight. This is looking good.
Get somebody up and throwing, Singer can last much longer.
Inexperience showing in Right Field on that foul ball…
But Singer gets thru the 3rd without further damage.
Yeah, it kind looked like he had the ball read, but he didn’t read his teammate correctly.
Exactly. Didn’t want to steamroll Steer.
Yeah, Steer was giving him the play, but Marte wasn’t sure. It was his play, and Steer knew it.
Liking Marte in RF more and more.
I just expected so much more tonight.
You must not have seen the Pirates pitcher and his 2.02 ERA pitch before.
How can that be? He’s kind of famous.
If you still don’t know…look at the top of the NL Cy Young odds.
Why is Hays playing and batting 4th?
Singer will be lucky to go six innings. And at this point, we have yet to score. Not looking good. Need a 3-run homer.
Hays is killing this lineup … please tell me Tito why Andujar is not playing ahead of this guy …..??!!!
I read an article today about how Tito is stubbornly hanging on to Hays in the cleanup role just like he stubbornly hung on to McLain at number 2 for so long until finally dropping him down.
Marte was mentioned as the rather obvious replacement.
It seems like he should be running out of time for “loyalty to veterans” or whatever.
Francona and his status quo. He’s stubborn.
the more I watch Hays, the more I know, shopping at the discount store for a player to drive in runs…..not a good idea
OH so close on that one by Lux. Good Dbl though.
Reds can’t move him up, and go scoreless thru 4.
Skenes is making some better pitches now.
Ugh
I like Sam LeCure … always have … but maybe not as the color guy in the booth. I know he’s not used to it, but …
Is Welsh keeping Sadak calm tonight?
Reds true to form….0-fer with men in scoring position
That IS the problem. Inconsistency on offense and missing the big hit.
This game has the makings of the 38th time this season of 2 or less runs scored unfortunately.
Would love to be wrong.
Reds team BA this year is .246
Take a guess what their BA is w RISP:
A] .261
B] .229
C] .211
A – .261
Is that number skewed by a few games? The numbers don’t always tell the whole story.
The Hays and Mclain situations are why I don’t give Tito as good a grade as some this year. After tonight it looks like 60 and 56 and the team just can’t get hot.
Agreed. He’s stubborn.
Baseball is a game of adjustments and that applies to your lineup too.
Singer up there throwing batting practice …
Weak , weak effort tonight
He had one bad inning.
He just gave up an RBI on a grounder that got through.
He can walk at end of year and I’m fine with it …won’t miss him one bit . Give me Littell over this guy ….
He’s under contract next year.
Glad he is.
He’s an asset to the staff.
Singer has started 23 games this season and been bad in 6 of them.
Littel has started 23 games this season and been bad in 5 of them.
I don’t know what either one will earn on their next contracts, but I don’t think there’s a big difference between the two.
Pitt. started a runner….tito: “you can do that?”
I just don’t get it – Reds have plenty of dudes they can do that with too … it’s insane
Huge issue for me too. And yes we do have guys that can in fact steal bases.
Davis has thrown out less than 20% of runners too.
Small screen on mute partial Clete … 🙁
Just a poor poor effort by Singer tonight. He needed to keep the team in the game until Skeens got tired, to say the least he failed miserably.
keep in mind….Pitt is one of the worst, if not the worst offense in baseball….way to go Singer
Another lackluster effort from the team. We do not have enough talent to win with 50% effort from our 2nd graders. Lordy, I have seen more effort at a Senior home than we have shown through 4 innings. Memo to team time to start winning games in bunches or this will be over by next weekend.
Bad outing by Singer, a lot of cookies to the Pirates hitters
Here comes Tito … Singer’s night is done. Pittsburg should have done more damage, but then they are pittsburg …
We can’t expect our starters to have great outings every time. Some hitting to back them up would really help a lot.
Singer should have shut this terrible offense down.
Frustrating. But yeah, it happens
To Leonard’s point, one bad inning. And he made much of that mess by nibbling where the umpire was NOT calling strikes.
Absolutely. Some duds will happen.
Just has been an inconsistent offense all year.
And Francona is content running out the same lineups.
That’s how I see it, too.
3 and 1/2 back after tonight, this season is slipping away fast. They just aren’t good enough from top to bottom. 80 wins with a 4th place finish = same old Reds.
but we have a hall-of fame manager….Yippie!!
80 wins???
I’ll bet you a MacGuffin that they win more that 84.
Ok, RISP…
Nice shot down the 1st base line by TJ goes for 2… but two outs already.
Reds swinging at too many bad pitches tonight.
At the end of 5, the Reds have faced Skenes for 22 innings and have scored ONE run. Yes, Skenes is one of the best in the game right now , but man sometimes the Reds are the very definition of futile.
How many times have the Cubs been held to 0-3 runs this season?
A] 13
B] 17
C] 23
D] 33
Frankly, that’s irrelevant. Quit being an apologist for a badly constructed roster.
Reds starters have kept this team in games all year long.Said it a few games ago if they stumble just a tad then we are toast.Just can’t expect night after night for them to put up zeroes inning after inning. At some point the offense has to come through and pick them up.Skeens is good and really good its no shame at all in losing to him or pitchers like him,it losing to the not so good at all guys like the Braves just beat us with and the kid yesterday that just pumped fast ball after fast ball against us.
Keep chasing the garbage … that’s an excellent plan.
Matt M. Does that all the time. Can’t blame that on his injury. I don’t know if a would ever throw him a ball in the zone.
All the time. People give CES all the crap for it but McLain usually gets a pass. Makes no sense to me.
McLain like other Reds hitters was guessing in this at bat against Skenes…. They look unable to do something offensively against him really
RISP = inept AB
I am sorry but it’s almost to wave the flag on this season. This team just isn’t good enough especially on offense. I think the Cardinals, with a much better offense, will pass them soon.
To me, this goes right back to the trade deadline. I keep reading all these articles about guys the Reds could have had to improve their offense. Today it was about that guy the Phillies picked up.
Bader.
Bader was with the Reds last year I think. Didn’t do anything special.
Reds are pathetic (0 for 5) with runners on base tonight! ADD that to Singer laying a rotten egg on the mound means a loss to the LAST PLACE PIE-RATS!
The Pirates have about the same W-L record as the Reds all-time. Both are about .500 overall. Both have similar number of playoff appearances, NL pennants, and WS titles.
Some use the nickname Bucs (short for Buccaneers) but no one uses Pie-rats.
Are the Reds to be called the Deads then?
We need Hays to burst out of his slump in a hurry. We have gotta ge more out of clean up hitter.
Tito pulls Moll after a walk and a pop out … replaces him with Mey. and now the Pirates have 2 on.
This is like watching a nightmare in slow motion! Mey gives up a single to a .173 hitter on a 2-2 count!
MLB hitters (despite their BA) sometimes get hits off MLB pitchers. Been that way since 1882.
Nice job Marte! Didn’t panic and made a good throw.
+1
Nice throw but was he safe?
It was close
Not a great throw, but enough with an experienced catcher.
It didn’t have to be that close and I’m sure he’ll improve on that 😉
How ’bout that play at the plate ! Marte to Trevino to get McCuthen.
McCutchen ^
Probably one more scoreless inning for Skenes! Maybe the Reds can score off the Pirates bullpen! Running out of time!
Just checked the Box Score after being away for dinner! Reds with six (6) hits and NO RUNS! How do you do that?
Easy. Your six hits are spread over 6 innings.
I know! Just frustrating not to string those hits together and score at least ONE run against ESPN’s anointed Cy Young winner!
Also… no walks.
It seems that a lot of you guys are probably not big on OBP and walks but … our Reds have stopped taking walks in recent games.
i just cannot understand how the brewers, year in and year out, players come and players go….just continue to compete and win….and the Reds can’t find a way to have just one good season. I will probably go to my grave still wondering that.
Reds have no power so the opposing pitchers say here hit it.In the last 3 games plus tonight so far the Reds have struck out 38 times and walked 2 times. If they lose tonight they will be 2-2 in those games with so far scoring 9 runs. Its the pitching that has and does carry this team.As we wind this season up does anybody think the pitching will continue with Greene out and now Lodolo out and AA I would guess at or near his high in innings.Burns is a rookie,Martinez is better at long relief it appears and Littell and Singer battle and for the most part keep you in the game.Reds just don’t have the hitters that can come back from being down a run or two on most nights.
the stat of 38 SO and 2 walks is the defination of inept
Another knock for Lux, what did that announcer call him ? “A hitting machine…”
Suter on for the bottom of the 6th … and loses the first batter .
i will say, if you go by the box on the screen, this umpire has been right on all game long
Mmany of these comments are hilarious and not in a good way.
The Pirate P is arguably the best SP in MLB this year.
Have to agree.
But it’s the same guys saying the same things over and over…especially during the losses. They threaten to leave, and the season is over…blah blah blah….They’ve been saying the same things since April. Quite boring actually.
At least come up with something original.
Folks on here can vent their frustrations as they please (as long as it’s within guidelines ) . You don’t have to read them ….everyone has their own thoughts and opinions whether you like them or not
Good job, Suter! WALK the first batter you face!
and he scores of course
Tito has waived the white flag with Suter ….
This team just not good enough …period
And with that 5th run, I’m out for tonight! Maybe the Reds will score a run tomorrow!
Only one play on that grounder to second, and it brings in another one for the Home Team, Pirates up 5-0.
He has no choice. No need to try and keep it close now.It was pretty much over at 3-0 just like it was yesterday at 2-0.May actually score some runs tomorrow and maybe even get ahead so he has to save his best for then.
Ugh.
The Red are running out of paths to the playoffs.
I figured this would not be the series to see the bats get going — they got hits! — but not enough. Skenes got better as the game went on
I was trying to will a Skenes fail into existence. Ugh
Gotta win the next three somehow.
Doesn’t matter how many hits you get if you don’t score any runs…
Reds may be lucky to win 1 or 2 this series.
Sanders onto pitch to the Reds in the 7th … Nice poke by Hayes, and better catch by Cruz in center. The Reds have 7 hits on the day, but the life in Dugout looks grim.
Full Clete … catch you all tomorrow.
Reds aren’t playing their best baseball in last 2 games
And that should do it for the Reds this evening… Suter gives up the long ball with one on… 7-0 Pirates.
Pirates are literally making fun of the Reds tonight, if they don’t come out fired up tomorrow they just aren’t much of a team. I am not sure what they will do.
nothing like getting your head bashed in by one of the worst offensive teams in the majors
Suter hasn’t been good recently giving up homers
Pirates depantsing the Reds. Nationals, Braves, Pirates, the worse the team the worse the Reds play
The Pirates have a really bad lineup but they find the way to pummel the Reds pitching , I can’t understand this…
if you can’t listen to Tito on the postgame, here it is in a nutshell: Their SP was just to good but the reds hitters battled against him….Singer was not that bad, he was just barely missing on a lot of pitches….Tito will be in full david bell mode
And getting snarky towards reporters that push back on him.
Reds had a small chance to beat the Pirates with Skenes…whether it’s 3-2 loss or 9-0 it means nothing. How they respond tomorrow and the next 3 is what matters.
That said, watching the Bengals first 2 drives with the 1’s, the talent is absurd. Do the Reds have any absurd talent on offense other than Elly? I like Friedl as a solid player for a few years and I like Marte potential, but where is the Reds rare talent positionally? Castellanos a nice hitter in 2021 but a terrible RF. Reds havent had a middle of the order complete OF since Jay Bruce.
Maybe Marte becomes a corner stone Rf piece or Sal Stewart a corner stone 1b but this franchise beyond Elly is lacking foundational position players and why they cant push past 5 over despite a nice SP staff. I still think McLain can be a foundational 2b player but thats my hope and not rooted on performance in 2025.
I think you summed it up well. Maybe Stewart and Rodriguez bring something to the 2026 Reds but not sure they’ll get that chance. Francona content running out the same. 37x of 2 or less runs just ain’t playoff baseball.
Pitching has been solid but also wasted. Especially with not wanting to steal bases, bunt for hits or get more runs home.
Bengals offense could be league best. Insane talent.
in honor of bengals football starting tonight, the reds went out and gave up a TD
I have not been a fan of Tito all year. This offense has wasted a lot of good starting pitching and I just don’t think Tito has done enough to help. Sticking with Mclain and now Hays, not running to stay out of double plays and don’t get me started on Benson.
Hays just keeps on giving…..SO’s that is
+1
Hey Tito: please sit Hays tomorrow.
I wish. Would it be possible to shake it up when we’re not scoring? Maybe that would make sense…
Reds haven’t been shutout since May 31 at Chicago…Of course, there have been a lot of 1-run-scored games
They have now, embarrassing, I think we can stop the playoff talk.
Two hours ago I said they probably would not score tonight….pretty easy prediction I must admit
I think Tito needs a team meeting right now and get the Reds to get the Reds to focus on each game from now to season-end to reach the Wild Card.
