It’s the last week of August and your Cincinnati Reds are still in the playoff hunt. In fact, if the season ended today (it doesn’t), the Reds would be IN the playoffs. What a time to be alive.
Nate and I discuss the playoff race, the sweep of the Angels, Hunter Greene’s rough return to the roster, and what the Reds should do to honor Joey Votto. Plus, more details about our 500th episode live show in Cincinnati on September 9!

I really hope that Nick can finish the season strong and increase his trade value. A change of teams would be good for him.
Nice post. A lot better than those that fear trading somebody because that guy might click in the other city. Kind of like trading prospects. As an example, I think Seattl is very very happy right now with Castillo and not musing about what Marte and Arroyo might become.
Suarez has been good overall for Seattle too. It’d be kind of fun to see Senzel on the A’s or Royals play 3rd base for 130 games or so, maybe he could become an every day player. Never thought he was too good in CF, I think he’s pretty good defensively at 3rd if playing regularly. All that being said, definitely needs a change of scenery I think.
