Last night saw heartbreak for Cincinnati and jubilation for Atlanta. The Reds battled back to tie the game up in the 9th and send the game into extra-innings where they took a lead in the 10th. But the Braves hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the innings to pick up their 7th win of the season. Tonight the two get back at it for game two of the series. First pitch is set for 7:20pm ET tonight in Atlanta.

Luis Cessa

The Reds will turn to Cessa tonight for his second start of the year. Since he moved into the Reds rotation late last year he’s thrown 48.1 innings with a 3.72 ERA. They could certainly use more of that.

Last season it was right-handed hitters who found plenty of success against Luis Cessa. There wasn’t much difference between how lefties or righties hit for average or got on base against Cessa, but there was a big difference in the power that righties and lefties hit for against him. Right-handed batters had 10 home runs compared to just four by lefties in just 16 more plate appearances. That led to a slugging percentage that was 103 points higher for righties.

Kyle Wright

Last year’s National League wins leader – Wright went 21-5 – is making his season debut tonight. He’s coming off of the best year of his career, and really the first full season in the big leagues he’s ever had. He got the decision in 26 of his 30 starts last year and most of them were on the correct side of the ledger. in the four starts that he didn’t get a decision, the Braves went 3-1.

Not shown below are the home and road splits from last year for Wright. He was better at home, where his ERA was 2.86 (3.64 on the road), and hitters had a .625 OPS against him (.676 on the road). When it comes to platoon splits, he’s better against righties than he is against lefties. Lefties draw more walks and hit for a lot more power than righties do against Wright.

Would have never guessed Wright had 21 wins last year.

  2. Melvin

I look for Santillan to be up soon if all goes well tonight.

    • JB

Does Law have an option left? I like Law. I just don’t like him in that spot last night.

    • Doc

All did not go well tonight for Santillan, and Votto is 0-3 with 2 more K’s.

      • Melvin

I did not see Santi pitch tonight. All I saw was that he pitched one inning with a BB and two Ks (no ER).

      • Melvin

..and I looked at the wrong box. It sure didn’t go well for Santillan tonight did it?

  3. Mark Moore

I, the robot, am now in the forum 😀

Have the game feed up on a screen and will duck out to walk off that grilled (over charcoal) pork chop shortly after first pitch. I’ll take the WLW feed with me and hope for the best.

Almost time to Kick This Pig!!

  4. Old-school

Reds picked Hunter Greene 2nd overall in that 2017 draft, the Padres took Mackenzie Gore 3rd and the Braves took the top college pitcher in Wright 5th overall. If you had to draft over , who would you pick? Wright has clearly exceed the other two, Gore is stepping on the gas, Greene still has an immense ceiling.

The Twins #1 PAdres #3, Rays #4(Mckay) and Braves #5 have clearly obliterated the reds since then in building back up their franchises from last place 93 + to 100 loss seasons.

  5. Optimist

Lewis and McKay have had their issues, and Wright is about 4 years older than Greene and Gore – let’s check back again in 4 years?

    • LarkinPhillips

4 years from now Greene will pitching for LA dodgers.

      • Votto4life

This…if Greene is in a Red’s uniform four years from now, it will be because he didn’t live up to his promise.

  6. Mark Moore

I felt that hit Tyler sitting here in my chair. OUCH!!!

Off on my walk. Back in a bit 😀

  7. JB

Is Myers the 2nd coming of Suarez? He sure strikes out a lot.

      • Mike in Ottawa

No Suarez would at least swing at a strike. Myers watches more called third strikes than any player I can think of.

  8. LarkinPhillips

I don’t think Myers can even reach an inside pitch with how far off the plate he is. That wasn’t even a competitive at bat at all with runners in scoring position. I wouldn’t hate to see Steer moved into the 5 hole.

    • Melvin

I think an argument can be made, based on the way they’ve played so far, that Myers is blocking Fairchild.

      • Jim Walker

Sadly, Myers purposes for being with the Reds were to create a positive PR stir when signed and then to play well enough ahead of the trade deadline to bring the return of a prospect worth the 4 months’ salary the Reds will pay him before he was traded.

If somebody is blocked or displaced in the process that is an acceptable cost of doing business with the Reds FO.

  9. Bet on Red

how will we get trade value for myers if he has no value

  10. Roger Garrett

Braves hitter coming out of their shoes at the plate.Cessa may have some trouble keeping us close.Reds need some big hits tonight.Just have to score more then a couple of runs.

  11. LarkinPhillips

So far there have been two different zones. ATL has gotten every edge and off the plate, while Cessa got squeezed on several pitches in the first.

    • LarkinPhillips

Statistically speaking, it makes a big difference starting an AB 1-0 or 0-1 after a borderline strike.

  12. JB

Hard to get Stephenson mad. Wright hasdone it.

  13. Roger Garrett

Now you knew we weren’t going to score.Got to put the ball in play.Gee.

  14. Mark Moore

As I watched Vosler follow in Myers footsteps, I was saying to myself you have to score with the bases juiced and nobody out. Then Steer gives us some redemption and the lead.

I know it’s a different Chumpire back there tonight, but the calls are equally ridiculous. Welsh flatly said “That’s not a strike” and my wife laughed.

    • Mark Moore

Check that, it was Cowboy. I haven’t switched to the WLW feed yet.

      • JB

Strike on a 3-0 count to. Casali ended up walking anyways but come on. Batter always gets screwed.

  15. Mark Moore

Isn’t that the same Barrero who would have offered at 2 or 3 of those low-and-outside pitches?

I like this version much better.

  16. Old-school

Steer made that inning…fought off 0-2 pitch after myers and Vosler failed miserably nad beat out infield hit and the flood gates open. Nice job steer and nice patience by barrero

    • JB

Cowboy wants to know who hits behind Stephenson. It should be Steer.

      • Melvin

        India
        Friedl
        Stephenson
        Fraley
        Steer

  17. Roger Garrett

Big inning for Cessa starts off bad.

    • LarkinPhillips

Boyle is all over the place in AA. He just hit a guy in the head.

    • Mario

That was not a good pitcher that Senzel hit. Kid was a Moeller high grad. Meatball pitch on top of that. Why does RLN love to hype up Senzel?

  18. Roger Garrett

Big double play and we are still up by two.Lets get some more runs.Go reds.

  19. Dennis Westrick

Hoping Cessa can go 5! May need more than 4 runs tonight!

  20. LT

Jake the raking snaking Fraley. Glad to have you in the team sir

    • JB

Maybe he should take 10 steps towards the plate.

      • Kevin H

I am following on gameday, I wouldn’t of known that. Thanks for the information JB

  21. Dennis Westrick

Myers has got to put that ball in play!

  22. VaRedsFan

I’m ordering Myers a telephone pole.

    • Old-school

I was thinking of the old brennamen quote…he couldn’t a hit that with an ironing board.

      Maybe a kayak

  23. GPod

I’m having a feeling that Myers is a bust

    • Mark Moore

Not quite ready to go there yet … but the shadows are growing a little long at this point with that kind of performance. Backward K’s aren’t acceptable.

And the leadoff BB comes back to haunt us again.

      • Dennis Westrick

Yep! Walks, especially lead-off walks are poison!

  24. Dennis Westrick

Well, that 3 run lead didn’t last long!

  25. VaRedsFan

    Down and in lefty….no-no
    tie game

  26. Kevin H

What a fun game this is so far, and Reds offense seems to be decent this season. So far anyway..

  27. J

My advice: when you’re facing the leadoff hitter in the inning and you’ve got a 3-2 count, it’s time to throw it down the middle and see what happens. This pitching staff’s obsession with trying not to let anyone hit the ball until there’s at least one baserunner is bewildering.

    • Kevin H

Throwing it down the middle usually doesn’t work with MLB hitters, they will hit it out of the ball park.

      • J

They actually don’t usually hit them out of the park. I’ve watched enough baseball to know they make a lot of outs on fastballs down the middle. Sometimes they get singles, which is the same as a walk. (If they play for the Reds, they might take that pitch for strike three.) I’d so much rather see a 3-2 pitch down the middle than in the dirt.

      • Mario

J has a good point. Plenty of meatball fastballs end up taken for strike 3 or end up in a glove somewhere. Gotta throw strikes.

    • Kevin H

I as well have watched enough baseball. Not sure what that has to do with anything

  28. Old-school

I guess the good news is reds pitching staff only needs 24 outs today and Derek Law is available after throwing 1 pitch last night

  29. JB

So I youtubed Wil Myers 2022 highlights and he has always been that far off the plate. So he isn’t doing anything different.

    • VaRedsFan

      Where was his stride?
      straight-neutral?
      shade left-in the bucket?
or driving towards the plate a little?

    • Mark Moore

I was just thinking “An Alex Young Sighting!!”

      • VaRedsFan

Saving Law for when we got a small lead…high leverage style.

    • LarkinPhillips

      Shockingly, he did well (sarcasm).

  30. Dennis Westrick

What to do? What to do? Cessa is definitely not a No. 4 starter!

    • GPod

someone once said…..3 top starters…..then pray for rain

    • Kevin H

We all said they need a older vet to come in. Look last season I said they need to keep Mahle, or Gray, or Castillo, why?? They have no starting pitching depth. I realize Reds got some good investments and stuff, however Weaver and then who? as your four and ??

      • Dennis Westrick

Always liked Sonny Gray! Hated to see him go! Could use his veteran presence right now!

    • Melvin

Hey. Strickland threw another clean inning tonight. 😉

  31. J

Young threw three pitches, so I assume he’s unavailable for at least a few days.

    • Dennis Westrick

Was wondering the same thing! But you know Bell’s Rule, no more than one (1) inning per RP! Plus Bell is probably spooked by what happened with Diaz a couple of games ago!

  32. old-school

This team 2 weeks into the season has a massive gaping hole at 1b and Rf and the bullpen and SP4/SP5.

CES and EDLC are on the IL
Votto is hitting .129 with 2 more k’s
Santillan wasnt good tonight. Sims is weeks away.
Williamson cant find the strike zone without a map and a compass.
    In Luke Weaver we trust????

    • Kevin H

Exactly 2 weeks in. Relax. Myer will be fine. Votto will be back soon and be fine.

We knew the bullpen wasn’t gonna be great, and after the top 3 in starting rotation we knew it was not gonna be pretty. Hey trade all your players and watch it go down hill.

Replying to your comment made me realize I am still frustrated with the organization as a whole. We are seeing the results two weeks in

      • JB

Votto will not be back soon. He can barely hit AAA pitching right now.

    • Doc

Give it a few weeks to shake out. Abbott could be in the mix, or could get pounded next start. This is only game 10 for the Reds, fewer for everyone else.

Concerned they started burning Votto’s rehab assignment time far too early.

    • Jim Walker

Make 3 K’s on the night for Votto. He struck out to end the game.

And just because you knew I’d say this 😉
A possible answer for RF is sitting on the Reds bench every night.

      • Melvin

“A possible answer for RF is sitting on the Reds bench every night.”

I agree but also agree it’s not likely to happen anytime soon.

  33. J

Maybe he would stink as a manager, but I sure like Brantley’s attitude with respect to aggressively stealing bases, being less nonchalant on defense and behind the plate, pounding the strike zone instead of nibbling, etc. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him criticize Bell directly, but he seems almost like the anti-Bell.

    • Daytonnati

I believe he and Bell were teammates at one time? That might impact his criticism?

      • J

I don’t believe I’ve heard any announcer, radio or television, suggest that Bell has ever done anything wrong. That’s just not allowed.

  34. Kevin H

I am not sold on Cruz. Okay I feel self getting annoyed with this game this evening, Time to sign off, as its a reminder of what the Reds had and who they traded and failed to replace. Fun times

  35. VaRedsFan

Barrero’s backhand failure’s has cost them a run in each of the last 2 games.

    • MBS

Definitely annoying, defense shouldn’t slump, it’s just a lack of effort.

      • Doc

If he doesn’t show good effort, up and comers can move him aside.

    • Old-school

Wait…both were hits… the official scorer called them hits and they were hits. The Barrero “backhand failure” and “lack of effort” was hit at 112.4 mph.

  36. VaRedsFan

How is an effective reliever allowed to pitch into a 3rd inning.
    Check the rules please.

  37. J

Another strategic decision, and another bad outcome. I understand nobody can be right all of the time, and I understand Bell doesn’t always have any great options, but in theory when a manager makes a move it’s supposed to increase his team’s chances of success. I can’t believe anyone thinks this team is actually better off when Bell is forced to make a decision that isn’t obvious.

  38. Old-school

Reds took that 4-2 lead then gave it up with bad SP. Every game this year they’ve lost…they were tied or had the lead by the 6th. they lose today,,,they get strider tomorrow, then the Phillies for 4 then the undefeated rays. This is how you lose seasons by May 1. They got to win this game or beat strider tomorrow or the losing becomes the norm. Sweep to the. Braves in early april cant happen . Pitching is failing them and there’s no cavalry coming….unless HUnter Strickland counts!!!

  39. LT

Time to stretch and rally. Let’s go Reds

  40. MK

Votto strike out 3more times tonight for Louisville, had a sac fly rbi. Might be time to put a fork in him. It is pretty sad to watch.

    • JB

McLain isn’t doing anything either. I thought the Bats would be decent this year.

      • Melvin

Box shows McLain with 2R, 2H, 2RBI hitting .385 and OPS of 1.298

  41. old-school

    Myers and Vosler hitting 5/6

    0-8 with 4 K’s and worthless non-competitive at bats.

    • Dennis Westrick

That’s a problem if you are trying to score runs against any team!

      • JB

Lol. Thanks for pointing that out Dennis.

  42. DataDumpster

Both starters had off days to say the least but there are still 5 innings to go after their exits. The Braves let their first reliever go 3 innings and now bring on a second. The Reds got 2.1 decent innings using 2 relievers with 3 more innings to cover. Somehow I think that the inability of the Bell era to develop any type of “long man” reliever will make this contest nearly unwinnable. The last man to pitch in this game either handicaps the bullpen for the next two days and/or doesn’t belong in the game to start with.

    • Jim Walker

Sometimes I wonder if the Reds have forgotten they are now limited to 13 pitchers on the active roster. Plus, it now takes 15 days (barring an injury recall) to turn around and bring back an optioned pitcher or cycle a pitcher through a quick IL stint with “inflation” or “arm tiredness” which they all have to some degree once the season gets started.

Maybe they think the Commissioner is going to grant them some sort of reprieve when they have blown up their staff 2/3 of the way through this 20 game run?

  43. LT

Let’s look on the bright side folks. Reds have been in most games, very fun baseball. That’s more than what we bargain for this year. The L will pile up but that’s expected.

    • JB

Agree. I think we all are just tired of losing.

  44. Dennis Westrick

Herget walks the leadoff batter in the bottom of the 7th! Big shocker! The wheels are about to fall off the little Red wagon!

    • Melvin

Walking the leadoff batter so often is really getting annoying.

  45. Dennis Westrick

    Make that back-to-back walks!

  46. J

As great as it is to have a third catcher on the bench, maybe it would be even better to have someone on the bench who could potentially help the team win a game once in a while. Like, I don’t know… a guy who can actually hit or run or field or pitch or something like that? I’m just thinking outside the box a little.

    • Dennis Westrick

      Wait! Baseball’s a thinking man’s game?

  47. Jon

Haven’t read all the comments, but why is Myers playing nearly every game when he is clearly not part of the future and will be gone by the start of August? Fairchild barely has seen any starts. McClain is ready to be called up.

    • JB

McLain hitting a $1.76. He isn’t ready. Now Fairchild? I agree.

      • Melvin

You’re correct about McLain. I looked at the wrong box earlier.

    • GPod

Myers wanted to come to the Reds and resurrect his career ….he’s doing just the opposite

    • J

Same reason Moose played as often as he did and Pham hit third every game. Guys with big contracts are guaranteed to play, and they aren’t allowed to hit at the bottom of the order. In so many ways, this organization proves that winning isn’t the top priority.

    • Joe P.

Myers has to scoot up to the plate. Can’t hit a pitch on the outer half.

    • AMDG

McClain is hitting below 0.200 and has a K rate near 40%

I’m not sure that qualifies as “ready to be called up”???

  48. Dennis Westrick

OK gents, I’ve seen enough! It’s a Clete for me! Maybe we can salvage the last game of this series tomorrow!

  49. Woodrow

“Jason Vosler is who we thought he was” – Denny Green

  50. VaRedsFan

    Barrero jacks one……1 run ballgame
    keep fighting

  51. old-school

Baseball Savant tracks batted ball data

Steer just hit one 110 mph for his 3rd hit.
    Barrero 455 foot bomb

    455 feet.

  52. J

Casali was permitted to hit in that situation so the third catcher could get another full day of rest.

  53. VaRedsFan

    Mountcastle has 9 RBIs tonight.
He would tie for the lead on the Reds

  54. old-school

Spoencer steer and Jose Barrero 2 hardest hit balls for the Reds tonight.

    Steer 110.6 mph
    barrero 108.7 mph

    Both are 25 years old

  55. Mark Moore

I had stepped away when Barrero showed us his stuff. Definitely not pulling a Clete tonight.

  56. Woodrow

“Stuart Fairchild is who Jason Vosler thinks he is” – Not Denny Green

  57. JB

Fairchild hit for Freidl? That’s probably who I wouldn’t have pinch hit for.

    • GPod

Bell likes to show everyone how smart he is….he can’t help himself

    • Melvin

I didn’t get a chance to watch the entire game so correct me if I’m wrong in reading the box score. So David Bell pinch hit for Friedl (who’s hitting .306), for Fraley (who’s hitting .370), but not Casali (who’s hitting .111) with another catcher on the bench to come in and play defense. Correct?

  58. docproc

Tell me you’re kidding, David Bell.

  59. AMDG

Bell pinch-hits Fairchild for a guy hitting 0.306 and then puts in Newman for a guy hitting 0.370 who was on base all 4 times tonight.

I’ll let the Bell apologists explain how this is rational management….

    • Dennis Westrick

And people on this site wonder why some of us don’t like Bell because of decisions that defy baseball logic!

    • Mario

I cannot believe he pinch hit Newman in place of Fraley. I didn’t catch the end of the game just came on for the comments. No wonder RLN hates David Bell

  60. DHud

I don’t want to hear anything about stupid splits

David Bell just brought Newman in to pinch hit for the best hitter on the team. Because LHP

  61. Old-school

Bell pinch hits a journeyman one year player newman for a reds core player Fraley and what happens ….Newman K’s

Handedness fetish. It’s one thing if its a legit RH handed hitter to pinch hit…Bell just automatically substitutes any hitter for any hitter against any pitcher if its handedness.

  62. J

Bell working his magic yet again. First, let Casali hit for himself when he’s got everyone available. Then two pinch hitters for a two of his better hitters, which, oddly enough, also failed.

  63. Steve

I’m sorry, did I mention, unbelievable

  64. Kevin H

I am glad there is no cussing on here. I think we r all thinking it.

You pitched hit for 2 of your better hitters. Fire bell tonight please.

  65. LarkinPhillips

Ridiculous to PH for Fraley who has been our must clutch hitter so far this year for Newman. I don’t care about hands in that situation.

  66. Mark A Verticchio

Bell being Bell, removes two of his best hitters for his crazy left right thing. Man, I don’t know how anybody can support this guy.

  67. Matt Eggemeier

are you kidding me did he really just pinch hit newman for fraley our hack manager needs to be fired tonite

  68. VaRedsFan

Told y’all Bell was saving Law for high leverage.

  69. Stoney

Pinch hitting 2-2 Fraley with Newman??? Bell is just awful!! Don’t care if it’s a left hander. Never win with this manager.

  70. Old-school

David Bell started Matt Davidson at DH in a 60 game sprint in 2020 because he was right handed and Phil Ervin in LF against the Tigers and they lost 2/3 to start the season

    • Mario

I’ll never forget Bell starting a slumping Josh Van Meter at DH in back to back games in an important series at St Louis in the 2020 season. Had to be the worst DH in the history of the DH. of course JVM took an o-fer both games and the Reds lost both games.

  71. LarkinPhillips

Got the game close. Perfect time for Law to come in. Of course he walks the leadoff in true Reds style.

  72. Mark Moore

OK, we have the leadoff walk out of the way. That’s a good thing, right?

    • Harry Stoner

Only thing better is to walk the first TWO hitters.

  73. J

Bell is basically screaming “PLEASE FIRE ME!” but the organization just won’t listen.

  74. Kevin H

Shouldn’t be, however I am stunned. Just stunned by this pitch hitting for friedl and FRALEY are you serious

  75. Harry Stoner

    Now Bell is satisfied.

He can move Barrero to CF, insert Newman at SS, Fairchild in LF.

    It’s called “managing”.

He hardly misses Pinder at all.

    • LarkinPhillips

It would be funny if it wasn’t sadly so true.

  76. J

We really can’t just focus on the fact that Bell pinch hit for Friedl and Fraley. We must also focus on the fact that he had just allowed Casali to hit for himself. It was truly a master class in how not to manage a baseball game.

  77. Mark Moore

Better lucky than good, I always say … 😀

  78. VaRedsFan

The Bell defenders are miracously absent tonight.
Most of them are box score watchers instead of game watchers.

    • LarkinPhillips

Absolutely true. I’m pretty sure most of them don’t watch the game at all.

    • Kevin H

I admit I defend him at times and other times not.

This decision has just sealed deal for me. He needs fired tonight

      • Kevin H

And other times where I go what is Bell thinking. Tonight though final straw

    • Mark Moore

The Tinkering tonight and the choices are baffling. But, like a legacy kid at an Ivy League school, he’s not going anywhere. Because, where else are we gonna go?

If by some miracle he does get canned, then I’ll actually feel bad for Freddie B. who will inherit the dumpster fire. Then again, maybe he’ll make better choices. We can only hope.

      So close again tonight …

    • J

Let’s please all remember this 8th inning for the next time someone tries to say “Bell isn’t the problem with this team” or “sure, he makes a few head-scratchers sometimes, but…” or “managers don’t really make any difference,” or “but who could the Reds get that would be any better?” (The answer to that last question is “a tomato.”)

  79. JB

Here is where I pinch hit Fairchild. Myers ! Nope can’t do that to a veteran.

  80. Harry Stoner

    Myers aka Sombrero Sam.

    “He’ll be alright.”

  81. GPod

that takes the cake….let myers hit to strike out 4 straight

  82. VaRedsFan

    Golden Sombrero….
his only other PA….pop to first.

    • bug

Myers is the WORST PLAYER I’ve ever seen!!! Golden sombrero,..leaves 7 men on base,..leads the Reds with whiffs (needless to say)! He has no chancer to put a bat on the ball if it’s on the outside part of the plate,..or even the middle of the plate. He can’t reach it. Duh!!! Cowboy has that figured out. (Cowboy is more estute than all the others put together.) And Bell is the worst manager I’ve ever seen,..simply for playing Myers at all, if for nothing else!!! And we know know,..there’s plenty else!!! Someone should ask Bell how many times does Myers have to strike out with the bases loaded for him to get him out of the line-up??? 100 times? 1000 times?? 10,000 times??? What if Myers strikes out every time he bats for the rest of the season??? Would Bell eventually take him out of the line-up then??? I think not. Fire Bell!!!! Worst manager in the history of the game. Jmho. And we have the worst GM in baseball for continuing to do the same things over and over and expecting a different result,..the very definition of insanity. Oh well.

      • bug

        Duh!

        “astute”,… not “estute”

  83. Dennis Westrick

Tonight is a perfect example of what happens when you hire a ML manager with little or no MLB experience but he has a legacy name!

  84. AMDG

David Bell benching Fraley for Newman is unfortunately reminiscent of Mr Burns benching Daryl Strawberry for Homer Simpson.

      • AMDG

At least in Mr Burns’ defense, Homer Simpson was hitting better than 0.167, and Simpson had the decency to get hit by the pitch to get on base.

  85. Old-school

Vosler 1-17 on the road trip
    Myers is awful
    bell is awful

Light up Doug’s post game summary with “FIRE BELL”

Pinch hitting for Fraley with Newman is incompetence and malfeasance. Time to move this franchise forward.

  86. LT

Up for discussion but if Stephenson hit the way we expect him to hit, Reds could have won this game. Unlike Myers, Newman, and whoever else, Stephenson is one player I expect to hit and he’s not. Hope he snaps out of this mini slump soon. On to next game

    • DW

He is just off of an 8 or 9 game hit streak that ended last night.

    • Harry Stoner

      Stephenson got hit twice tonight.

      I’ll cut him a break.

      Vosler / Myers: 0-10 w 5 Ks and 11 LOB.

  87. Dennis Westrick

Don’t fret guys! They give out participation trophies don’t they?

  88. J

I’m trying to figure out how Bell can possibly answer the question “why did you hit for Fraley and Friedl but allow Casali to hit for himself when you had everyone on the bench available at that time?” but I doubt anyone will bother asking.

    • GPod

that’s what makes me sick…..nobody will make him answer a difficult question…only thing worse then watching Bell manage a ball game is listening to him talk about the game

  89. Dennis Westrick

4-6 after 10 games and competing with the Cards for last place in the NL Central. As long as Bell remains as the manager nothing will change!

  90. LDS

I don’t know why Bell didn’t get Maile and Benson into th3 game. Seems rather mean. The Reds now 3 behind the Pirates. Good thing it’s still early, but getting late quickly.
