Nate and I got together again to discuss the week that was for the Cincinnati Reds. RedsFest is upon us, and we have two new inductees into the Reds Hall of Fame. The Reds sign a backup catcher who is perfectly cromulent, and we say goodbye to an old friend who is headed to Japan.

Big week, right? Well, the biggest news of the week was Joey Votto’s debut on the chess tournament circuit. Enjoy!

I appreciate the Searching for Bobby Fischer reference here. That movie led to me being a very poor chess player. Now if I just don’t think about Fischer or the family the movie is based around things get better.
