The 2020 season is now complete for the Cincinnati Reds. It didn’t go quite as everyone had hoped. There were plenty of positives to take away from the year. And there were more than a few negatives, too. But this posting isn’t about the Reds or their season. It’s about the Redleg Nation staff and it’s about you, the readers of the site.

To say that 2020 has been easy for any of us would be the understatement of the year. And that’s saying a lot. The biggest part of each year at Redleg Nation takes place during the season. The highs, the lows, the exuberance we can feel with a win, the disappointment that can be felt in the losses – sharing in that in the community here is one of the reasons it seems everyone keeps coming back.

On behalf of all the Redleg Nation contributors/writers/podcasters, thank you for coming along for the ride this season. Thanks for (mostly) keeping the comments section clean. Thanks for the feedback.

We are not finished talking about the Reds. There’s going to be a lot of discussing, dissecting, and breaking down of all that went right and wrong this season coming up soon. And of course we’ll be covering any and all news all offseason as things head towards spring training in 2021. We hope you’ll come along for that ride with us, too.

Thank you, Doug, and all the writers and fans. This is the best forum for our Reds … period. It was a wild ride for not only us but the three other teams in the NLC that are now home for the season. We all persevered in a difficult year and saw glimmers of hope and flashes of brilliance. No, it wasn’t the magical 30th year run I wanted, but it was baseball.

I’m not going anywhere and I suspect that’s the same for most of the others.

Yes, thanks a lot Doug. Finding this site was one of the best things that happened to me this year. Enabled me to post about my passion for the Reds and MLB, and took my mind off all the bad stuff going on in the world. Thanks much. JIm

Doug! This article is a bit like George Bailey thanking Bedford Falls. We are all thanking you, and the entire RLN team. It’s been a crazy year but RLN gave us all a place to cheer, direct, discuss, lament, and cheer some more. Every day, every step of the way. The Cincinnati Reds and Major League Baseball add to the quality of my life. You improve my experience as a Reds fan. Following in the footsteps of Chad Dotson, Jason Linden, Steve Mancuso and many more you have taken the RLN reigns and for Reds fans, you rule. Thank YOU Doug!

Honestly dude I dont know how you do it. There are times you must feel like a Psychologist on here. Listening to are rants every day about the losing and celebrating with the highs of winning. Thanks to you and your staff for keeping us sane.

Thanks, Doug and the other writers. And thank you for keeping it professional in tone and language. Thanks also to the fans who comment. I have learned a lot about our team through this site. I grew up listening to the BRM on the radio sitting with my grandfather on the front porch. Joining in the Reds discussions brings back lots of good memories. Thanks again.

Thanks for keep us abreast of all things Redlegs! The game write-ups of course, but also whatever is going on with the franchise and MLB. The season ended far too soon of course, but it is great having a place where Reds fans can go to commiserate. Hopefully someday we’ll be able to come here at the end of the season to celebrate the next great Reds team.
