Unlike some teams in baseball (we’re looking at you Los Angeles Dodgers), the Cincinnati Reds are offering refunds for games between March and May 28th that have been postponed. They are also offering an exchange of tickets for future games in 2020 or 2021.

There are, as always, various options for things. Ticket members and group ticket holders may have different options with what that it is that you can do with your tickets.

If you want a refund, or have questions, head over to this link right here to see what you can do in order to get your desired result from the Cincinnati Reds.

Are there really teams who are NOT offering refunds and exchanges? Wow. I had a ticket for a spring training game Reds at Padres in late March. A refund simply showed up on my credit card statement in April. Well done Padres. Fans will be excited for baseball’s eventual return, but teams do need at least to not alienate those fans in the meantime. Do the right thing. Good for the Reds.

The Reds front office has got it in gear. Now if we can have some kind of a season in 2020.

I haven’t checked on every team, but did see that the Dodgers are only offering exchanges – no refunds – for their postponed games.

It’s going to be interesting to see what happens with Stubhub in regards to the mess they have created for themselves. MLB games still are only considered “postponed” rather than canceled, so they are not doing anything yet. However, they changed their ticket guarantee from refunding buyers for canceled events to offering them a Stubhub credit for 120% of the the order cost good through 12/31/2021. There’s already been at least one lawsuit filed against them for this. I personally don’t see why Stubhub can’t simply charge the original seller’s credit card when an event is canceled and a buyer requests a refund. Then refund the buyer as the ticket guarantee originally stated. I don’t want a ticket credit when there’s no certainty when live events will resume or what crowd capacity limits will be in place. Not to mention the question of whether Stubhub will still exist next year, considering their current financial problems…
