Are the Reds a playoff team right now? Jason Linden and I discuss precisely that topic, in addition to many more: Dick Williams says the Reds aren’t finished, Nick Senzel is back on the field, and the Reds signed a guy from Northern Kentucky!

It could happen if the Reds are less than 10 games out at the All Star break. By then the grind of the season and the absence or presence of key injuries take their toll.

I would have been happy if the Reds didn’t do anything over the off season. That would have simply told me that they were betting on our offense not having the disastrous season again.

Don’t get me wrong, though. I’m glad the Reds have done what they did. I do believe Moose and Shogo will assist the offense. And, I believe Miley will be better than Mahle.

Right now, I believe we will compete for the last playoff spot.

Hopefully we can still fine one more bat and shore up the bullpen. I consider the bullpen difficult, though. Not unless you overpay, I always consider it a crapshoot to have a good bullpen. But, if we can do these things, we will be divisional contenders, I believe.
