In early January we found out the broadcast schedule for the Cincinnati Reds television broadcasts that would be on Fox Sports Ohio. They will carry 10 games throughout the spring. You can mark these days on your calendar:

  • February 24th vs the Angels
  • March 7th vs the Mariners
  • March 9th vs the Padres
  • March 10th vs the Diamondbacks
  • March 17th vs the Indians
  • March 19th vs White Sox
  • March 22nd vs the Brewers
  • March 23rd vs the Indians
  • March 25th vs the Braves
  • March 26th vs the Braves

But Fox Sports Ohio is not the only place that will carry Cincinnati Reds baseball games this spring. MLB Network will also carry 5 other games. That will include the spring opener on Saturday. Here’s the list of games:

  • February 23rd vs the Indians (4pm ET – delayed)

  • March 18th vs the Rockies (4pm ET – Live)

There will also be a few other games that will be on both MLB Network and Fox Sports Ohio. For those of you outside of the Fox Sports Ohio area, you can see the full MLB Network spring schedule here. MLB Network will be featuring 10 games in total that involve the Cincinnati Reds.

The Reds on Radio Update

At the same time we got the Reds on Fox Sports Ohio schedule we learned that the Reds would broadcast 30 of the 33 games this spring. C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic noted earlier today that the three that won’t be broadcasts will be the three road games that take place this spring when the Reds are playing split-squad games. The home games will be available on either 700 WLW, Fox Sports 1360, or Reds.com. The road games will not be available.

And as a reminder, here is the crew that will be calling the games this year on radio and/or television:

  • Jeff Brantley
  • Thom Brennaman
  • Marty Brennaman
  • Jim Day
  • Doug Flynn
  • Brian Giesenschlag

I get excited every year for spring training. I am a huge fan of baseball and an even bigger fan of the Reds. I have to admit thought, it has been a long time since I have been this excited about the impending season and what it could bring. A lot of people I know are upset they did not continue to spend and fill a few more pieces. I am not in that camp. I know we have what it takes and if we are in the hunt we have the $$ in the bank to go out and get any pieces we need for the second half of the season. #GO REDS! #BIG RED MACHINE 2019!!!!!
