In what was definitely not a major league game, Cincinnati’s top prospect Nick Senzel was injured this afternoon. This injury occurred in Toledo, not Minneapolis.
#Reds top prospect Nick Senzel may have injured himself diving for a ground ball.

Senzel dove for ball in @LouisvilleBats game … seemed to roll awkwardly on his left (glove) wrist. Rolled in pain almost immediately. #Reds https://t.co/SSmjUxBLsO

Mix of opinions on injury to Nick Senzel, #Reds top prospect. Some believe @LouisvilleBats infielder injured wrist, some shoulder.
I will check immediately post-game. https://t.co/AQN7YMInb5

Once we get more information, we’ll pass it along.
I actually turned on the Louisville game since the Reds had already played, and Senzel was walking off the field.
So, if you were wondering whether anything else could go wrong in this miserable 2018 season, we have your answer: YES.
UPDATE: If you’re looking for some semblance of good news, there’s this:

I imagine we’ll hear more tomorrow.
UPDATE: Here’s the video of the injury. It doesn’t look good to me, but I only play a doctor on teevee:

Please don’t let it be similar to the injury Ryan Ludwick sustained.
What is: “How can this season get any worse, Alex”?
In regards to Reds prospects, what are the Reds going to do with Shed Long? He is at 2B, which will be the spot for Senzel and Suarez is at 3B.
It appears Long is not far from being MLB ready
Didn’t Dilson Hererra have a non-structural shoulder injury a couple years back? Just sayin’.
