The two upstart NL teams try to close out their NLDS at home against veteran opponents. The Royals showed yesterday you can’t count out teams with experience just because they get behind.

  • 4:30 pm ET – St. Louis Cardinals (Lackey) at the Chicago Cubs (Hammel)

Cubs lead series 2-1. Is this where the Cubs starting pitching catches up to them?

  • 8 pm ET – Los Angeles Dodgers (Kershaw) at the New York Mets (Matz)

Mets lead series 2-1. Can Clayton Kershaw save the Dodgers season? Some analysts think Steven Matz is the best of the Mets’ young pitchers.

Comments welcome.

Stephen Piscotty is a good young hitter with a degree in environmental engineering from Stanford.

Cubs up 4-2 in the 4th. A Mets/Cubs NLCS will be just fine with me for 2015.

I wouldn’t have thought it but like TOM I am good with Mets and Cubs playing to go to the World Series. Can’t believe it though.

Now I can go and rest for the offseason. Bye bye the ” best team and fans in baseball”. 🙂

Good bye Cardinals. Good bye Cardinals. Good bye CARDINALS. Go jump in a dull wood chipper.

Let’s see what they come up with to break the rules next year: PED use? Hacking opponent’s networks? Smugly crowing about their awesomeness?

Ah well. Enough gloating. Go Reds, rebuild QUICKLY.

I am afraid the Reds ,Cards, Pirates, and Brewers will all be hating the Cubs for several years to come. Those guys scary good and very very young.. Yikes !

The new “Moneyball” should focus on Front Office talent.

Consider this: In 2015, the Reds paid Manny Parra more than the Cubs paid Theo Epstein.

The Reds don’t need to gut this team just make some very tough decisions and look toward the future.Rebuild the farm system with position players through trades and the draft.Target high OBP guys going forward that don’t try all the time to hit 5 run homers when a hit or a productive out is all that’s needed.Hard to do I know but should be the goal.Going to be even harder in our division but it can be done.
