The Reds game against the Washington Nationals has been postponed because the first-place home team didn’t want to take another beating at the hands of the baseball juggernaut from Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Major League Baseball announced the eight participants in Monday’s Home Run Derby and the list, to no one’s surprise, includes Super Todd Frazier. The complete lineup of sluggers, with their age in parentheses and number of 2015 home runs:

  • Kris Byrant (23) – 12 home runs
  • Josh Donaldson (29) – 21 home runs
  • Prince Fielder (31) – 13 home runs
  • Todd Frazier (29) – 25 home runs
  • Manny Machado (23) – 18 home runs
  • Joc Pederson (23) – 20 home runs
  • Albert Pujols (35) – 26 home runs
  • Anthony Rizzo (25) – 16 home runs

That’s three players who are 23 and another who is 25. Notable absences include: Bryce Harper, Mike Trout, Giancarlo Stanton, J.D. Martinez, Nolan Arenado, Nelson Cruz, Paul Goldschmidt and Jose Bautista.

Expect a deluge of stories about how many home runs Pujols has hit at Great American Ball Park.
