Derrick Robinsoin, Neftali Soto, and Denis Phipps collected 2 hits each for the Bats in the loss. Soto hit a homerun, scored a run, and drove in 2 RBI. Phipps also homered, scored a run, and drove in 3 RBI. It was their 13th and 7th homeruns of the season respectively.
Daniel Corcino pitched pretty poorly in the loss, dropping his record to 6-13. Corcino allowed 7 runs, 5 earned, on 5 hits and 5 walks in 5 innings pitched. He struck out 8. His ERA is now at 5.75 on the season.

Mississippi 5 – Pensacola 1
Robert Stephenson made his Double-A debut in this one and pitched well. Stephenson allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings pitched. He struck out 5. Michael Lorenzen also made his debut with Pensacola last night in relief. He did not fair as well as he allowed a run on 3 hits in 1 inning pitched. Lorenzen failed to prevent runners from scoring that were left on base from when Stephenson exited the game.
Travis Mattair led the offense with 3 singles in 4 at-bats and drove in the lone RBI.
High A
Modesto 6 – Bakersfield 3
Juan Perez went 1-3 with a double, walk, and 2 runs scored. No Blaze batters had more than 1 hit nor scored more than 1 run.
Jake Johnson allowed 6 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks over 5 innings pitched to pick up the loss and fall to 6-5 on the season.
Low A
Dayton 8 – Great Lakes 3
A good offensive game for the Dragons as 4 different players had 2 hits, 3 guys scored 2 runs, and 2 players had 2 or more RBI. Tanner Rahier had 2 singles in 3 at-bats and led the Dragons with 3 RBI. Jeff Galalich and Zach Vincej each went 2-3 with an RBI. Galalich added a double and a run scored. Beau Amaral went 2-4 with 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. The 2 steals gives him a total of 33 for the season.
Rookie
Billings 9 – Idaho Falls 6ÂÂ
Carlos Sanchez hit his 3rd homerun of the season in the 6th inning, a 2-run shot that gave the Mustangs the lead. Sanchez finished the game 2-4 with a homerun, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored. Carlton Daal had 3 hits in 4 at-bats. All 3 hits were singles and Daal added an RBI. Gabriel Rosa reached base 4 times in 5 plate appearances thanks to 2 singles and 2 walks. He also scored twice. Daniel Paula and Robert Ramirez had 2 hits each, an RBI each, and a run scored. Adam Matthews only managed to go 1-4 in the game but that still led to a run scored and 3 RBI.
Kevin Franklin and Yonatan Suero each doubled and drove in an RBI. The Reds had 6 doubles as a team in this contest but could not turn that into more runs.
Tyler Mahle pitched 5 innings, allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits and 1 walk. He struck out 5 in the no-decision. The AZL Reds committed 4 errors in the contest translating into 5 unearned runs crossing home for the Royals.
