BOX SCORE

POSITIVES
–Through seven innings, Jay Bruce had half the Reds hits, going 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Devin Mesoraco drove in the other run.

–Mat Latos pitched a strong six innings, surrendering two runs on six hits.

NEGATIVES
–Zack Cozart rumbled, bumbled, and stumbled around the basepaths tonight.

–The offense, through seven innings, looked much the same as we’ve seen for the five previous games. In other words: nearly nonexistent.

–With a tie game in the seventh inning, Dusty Baker chose to bring in Logan Ondrusek. One of the two worst pitchers on the staff. In a tight spot, a tie game, in a game the Reds really need to win. Someone please explain why you would ever bring in Ondrusek in this situation. Please?

NOT-SO-RANDOM THOUGHTS
–This has been a very long west coast road trip. I’ve stayed up every night to write a recap. I’m very tired.

So this recap is a choose-your-own-adventure recap. You guys fill in the blanks down there in the comments section. Tell us all about the positives, the negatives, and your own not-so-random thoughts.

Good night, Nation.
