Emmanuel Burriss went 2-4 with a run scored and a stolen base. Billy Hamilton had a hit and a run scored in 3 at-bats. He also stole 2 bases, giving him 54 on the season.

Chad Rogers improved his record to 2-2 in Louisville by pitching 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and striking out 5. Zach Duke pitched a scoreless inning to run his perfect scoreless streak to 13.1 innings this season. Pedro Villarreal recorded the save by going 2.1 innings. He allowed just 1 hit and struck out 2.

Huntsville 3 – Pensacola 2

Chris Berset doubled and reached base via a walk in 4 plate appearances. He also scored a run. Mike Costanzo came in as a pinch hitter late in the game and managed to go 1-1 with a double, walk, and drove in an RBI.

Carlos Contreras picked up the loss by allowing 3 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings pitched. The Blue Wahoos bullpen of Chris Manno, Jamie Walczak, and Drew Hayes combined to go 5 innings of shutout ball. They allowed 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9.

High A
Visalia 8 – Bakersfield 4

Ryan Wright had a great day at the plate despite the loss. Wright went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a run scored. The solid day raised his stat line to .277/.325/.418 in 328 at-bats in Bakersfield. Danny Vicioso went 2-4 with 2 singles and 2 runs scored. Juan Perez had a 2-run homer in the 7th inning for his only hit of the game. It was his 6th homerun of the season.

Robert Stephenson allowed 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 5 in 6 innings of work. It was Stephenson’s first start since being called up from Dayton where he was 5-3 with a 2.57 ERA in 14 starts.

Four different Dragons had a multi-hit game in this contest. Sammy Diaz went 2-4 with a homerun, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Jesse Winker went 2-5 with a triple, single, run scored, and 2 RBI. Seth Mejias-Brean reached base 4 times via 2 singles and 2 walks in 5 plate appearances. Joe Hudson had a solo homerun, a single, walk, RBI, and run scored in 3 at-bats.

Nick Travieso improved to 4-3 on the season with the win. Travieso allowed 4 runs, 2 earned, on 3 hits and a walk over 5 innings pitched. He struck out 4.

Johnathon Reynoso led the way for the Mustangs by going 3-4 with 2 doubles and an RBI. Unfortunately the rest of his teammates managed just 2 hits total.

Luke Moran picked up his first loss of the season by allowing 3 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings pitched. He struck out 4.
