Indianapolis 4 – Louisville 1

Denis Phipps and Konrad Schmidt each singled which accounted for both Louisville hits in the game.  Billy Hamilton drew a walk, stole his 10th base of the season, and scored the only run for the Bats.

Daniel Corcino struggled to find the plate as he walked 6 batters in 3 innings.  Those 6 walks accompanied by 4 hits allowed for 2 runs to score.  Mark Prior relieved Corcino and walked 2 and allowed a hit and a run in 2 innings pitched.  On the night, Louisville pitching walked 12 batters.  There were 18 walks combined.

High A
Bakersfield 9 – Lancaster 7

The Blaze offense came to life last night and was led by Yorman Rodriguez’s 4-5 night at the plate.  Rodriguez doubled twice, scored 2 runs, and drove in 2 RBI.  Juan Silverio went 3-4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.  Kyle Waldrop, Juan Duran, and Dominic D’Anna each had 2 hits.  Duran and D’Anna each homered.  D’Anna’s blast was a 2 run homer.

Tanner Robles was able to strike out 9 batters in his start, but unfortunately, could not make it to log the win.  He was pulled after 4 innings pitched after allowing 5 runs on 6 hits and 5 walks.  El’Hajj Muhammad and Brian Pearl combined to pitch a scoreless 8th and 9th innings, striking out 3 and walking 1.  Pearl recorded his 1st save of the season.

Low A
Bowling Green 5 – Dayton 2

Jessee Winker went 3-4 with a double and a run scored.  Jeff Gelalich added 2 hits in 4 at-bats with a double.

Sal Romano fell to 1-2 on the season after allowing 3 unearned runs on 7 hits and 2 walks in 4.1 innings pitched.  He recorded only 1 strikeout.  In 3 starts and 16 innings pitched, Romano still sports a solid 1.69 earned run average.
