Let’s recap tonight’s titanic struggle….

FINAL
Cincinnati 1
Pittsburgh 3

W: J. Locke (1-1)
L: A. Simon (0-1)
S: J. Grilli (5)
BOX SCORE

POSITIVES
–Zack Cozart was 3-5 with a homer.

NEGATIVES
–Johnny Cueto left the game in the fifth inning with a strained right triceps.

NOT-SO-RANDOM THOUGHTS
–I said before the season that the only thing that could keep the Reds from being World Series contenders would be injuries. Ryan Ludwick…Sean Marshall…Johnny Cueto. This is not going well.

–That’s four straight losses for the Reds. All those losses have been on the road, against division opponents. Are you panicking yet? (The answer, obviously and emphatically, is NO. But don’t go near Twitter if you want to maintain Reds-related mental health, because some of you Reds fans out there are acting crazy.)

–Cueto will be examined tomorrow, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed. Maybe it’s something minor, and maybe Cueto won’t have to go on the disabled list. We can hope, right?
