Ismael Guillon made the start in Dayton and allowed 2 runs, 5 hits, 2 walks and struck out 8 over 6 innings.

Arizona Fall League: The Reds announced the players participating in the Arizona Fall League yesterday via twitter. Billy Hamilton, Curtis Partch, Drew Hayes, Didi Gregorius and Donald Lutz, They will play for Peoria.

Columbus 4 – Louisville 2

Denis Phipps was 2-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and scored both Louisville runs. Didi Gregorius had two singles, and both RBI’s.

Pedro Villarreal was credited with the loss despite only giving up 2 runs over 6 innings. He limited the Clippers to 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 3.

High A
Visalia 7 – Bakersfield 1

Bakersfield banged out just 5 hits in this one, but they were all doubles. Niko Vasquez was the only Blaze with more than 1 hit, as he went 2-for-4 with two doubles and the lone run scored. Dominic D’Anna had an RBI double.

Tim Crabbe was credited with the loss despite only giving up 2 runs over 5 innings. He limited the Rawhide to just 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7.

Low A
Great Lakes 5 – Dayton 4

Great Lakes scored 3 times in the final two innings to take this one away from the Dragons.

MVP prospect Joey Votto was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run scored. Yorman Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a triple, a stolen base, a sac fly RBI, and a run scored. Juan Silva was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI but was caught stealing twice.

Ismael Guillon was in line for the win after giving up 2 runs over 6 innings. He limited the Loons to just 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 8.

Rookie
Helena 6 – Billings 4

Helena put up 5 runs in the final two innings to steal this game away from the Mustangs.

Jesse Winker had his third consecutive multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI. Zachary Vincej was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Dan Langfield allowed just 1 run on 6 hits and 1 walk over 4 innings while striking out 7. Jose Amezcua followed with two 1-hit, shutout innings. He struck out 4.

AZL Dodgers 3 – AZL Reds 1

Another Reds affiliate loses in the final innings, as the Dodgers put up all 3 runs in their final two innings at the plate. Brayan Arias (2-for-4) was the only Reds player with more than one hit.

Pedro Diaz tossed the first three shutout innings. Diaz allowed two hits, no walks, and struck out 4. Abel De Los Santos shutout the Dodgers for two innings, allowing just one walk, no hits, and striking out 5.
