I missed this the other day, but FanGraphs had a nice piece on Johnny Cueto’s changeup. When an article starts like this, I know I’m gonna like it:

The past 46 starts of Johnny Cueto‘s career have been absolutely incredible.

Indeed. Many thought Cueto was going to regress to the mean after his spectacular 2011, but he’s actually been even better this season. Much of the improvement, it appears, can be traced to Cueto’s increased usage of his changeup. Good stuff. (Be sure to check out the .gifs of Cueto’s delivery.)
