On a bullpen day, Kanekoa Texeira got the start and threw 2 innings, giving up one run on a hit. Travis Webb was ineffective in his 2 innings, allowing 5 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits. Carlos Fisher threw two hitless innings, but did allow 2 walks.

Great relief work by Carlos Contreras. Came in with the tying run at 3rd and the go-ahead run at 2nd, with one out in the 8th and didn’t allow either runner to score, getting a pop out, then a strike out. After a line out to start the 9th, he struck out the final two hitters to notch his 13th save. His line was 1.2 IP 0 H 0 R 0 ER 0 BB 3 K.
Rookie
Jesse Winker was 2-4.
Jonathon Mascot started and threw 2 innings, allowing a run on 2 hits (homer), he walked none and struck out 4. Joel Bender relieved him and threw 4 innings, allowing only a run on 3 hits, but walked 3 while striking out 2. Jesus Adames threw a hitless 8th, striking out 2 and Sean Lucas picked up his 5th save with a hitless 9th, striking out the side.
Jose Ortiz was 4-4 with 2 doubles, Brent Peterson was 4-5 with a double, Adam Matthews was 3-4.

Mike Saunders got the win, throwing 2 innings of hitless relief, striking out 4. Joseph Housey threw a scoreless inning of relief, as did Jackson Stephens (1 IP no hits, struck out 2, picked up his first save).
