Minor League Player of the Day: Redleg Nation Spotlight player, Tucker Barnhart had a terrific day at the plate. Barnhart was 5-for-5 with a double, and 2-run homerun and 3 runs scored. He also threw out an opposing base runner trying to steal second base. Tucker is having a scorching June, batting a .457/.510/.783 slash line in 13 games.

Paul Janish was 2-for-2 with a double, a homerun, 3 walks, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBI. Cody Puckett was 3-for-4 with a walk, 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Tim Gustafson allowed 3 runs (1 earned) in 5 innings. He allowed 5 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 2.

Tim Crabbe allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, 2 walks, and 4 strikouts over 5 innings. The Blue Wahoos’ bullpen threw 3 shutout innings.

Billy Hamilton went 4-for-5 with a walk, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases, and caught stealing, and his 17th error of the season.

Josh Smith allowed just 2 runs over 6.2 innings on 7 hits and a walk. He struck out 5. Andrew Brackman threw for the first time out of the bullpen this season, pitching a perfect 1.1 innings with 2 strikeouts.

The AZL Reds stroked 4 triples in yesterday’s game. Jonathan Reynoso went 4-for-4 with 2 triples and 2 runs scored. Leading off and playing second base, Ty Washington was 3-for-4 with a triple, an RBI, and a run scored. Avain Rachal was 2-for-3 with a triple, a walk, a run scored and 2 RBI.

Vaughn Covington had a rough debut, allowing just 1 hit but 5 walks and 4 runs over 3 innings. Covington struck out 2 batters. Lorgi Pineda followed with 5 hits, two walks, and 1 run over the next 3 innings. Pineda struck out 4 batters.
