The Bats took a butt whuppin’ last night, gave up 11 runs, only had 4 hits.
Nefi Soto went 2-4 and accounted for the only Bats run with a homer (7).
Tim Gustafson in his first start for the Bats, Josh Judy, and Scott Carroll all got clobbered.
AA
David Vidal went 3-3, Andrew Means went 3-4, Didi Gregorius (double) and Brodie Green (triple) went 2-4, and Ryan LaMarre went 2-5 with a homer.
Nice start by J.C. Sulburan, throwing 6.1 allowing 7 hits, 2 runs on 2 walks and striking out 10. Wilkin De La Rosa threw 1.2 scoreless innings, striking out 4. Clayton Tanner threw a hitless 9th.
High A
Visalia 2 – Bakersfield 1 (10 innings)
Tough loss as Daniel Renken threw a great game for the Blaze. He went 8 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits with a walk and 6 strikeouts, but had to come out due to his pitch count.
Kyle McMyne collected both a blown save and the loss (0-1), giving up the tieing run in the 9th and the winning run in the 10th.
Dominic D’Anna went 2-4 and was the only Blaze hitter with multiple hits.
