Our apologies, but in an extremely rare occurrence, none of the Editors could cover the game tonight. That’s also why the game thread was late getting up.

It looks like Mike Leake pitched well and Jay Bruce hit a home run. The Reds had only six hits and two walks.

The one thing I will say: When people say that closers aren’t that important, the last few games is what they’re talking about. Chapman didn’t pitch in the Pirates series, where we lost two of three. He pitched tonight in a game where the Reds had a three run lead and he faced the lower part of the Astros lineup. It must have been fun to see him strike out the side, but pretty much any pitcher can hold a three run lead for one inning.

You guys are going to have to handle the details of the positives and negatives tonight.ÂÂ
