Minor League Player of the Day: On a night where everyone put up good, similar offensive numbers for the Dragon’s offense, starter Jacob Johnson pitched his 2nd consecutive strong game since his return from shoulder surgery. Johnson went 5 innings, gave up just 1 unearned run on 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 3 batters.

Louisville (15-32, 4th in the IL West) had the day off.

Mississippi 5 – Pensacola 2

Pensacola mustered just 3 hits. David Vidal was 1-for-3 with a triple, runs scored, and RBI.

Tim Gustafson allowed all 5 runs in 5.2 innings. He gave up 8 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 3. Wilkin De La Rosa, Chris Manno, and Mark Serrano pitched 3.1 innings of shutout relief.

Lansing 9 – Dayton 8

Dayton scored 5 runs in the top of the 8th inning to take an 8-5 lead, but the bullpen blew the 3-run lead in the bottom of the 9th.
