Tim Gustafson started and went only three innings. He allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, on 2 hits and 4 walks. Mark Serrano (2-0, 4.24 ERA) got the win in relief. He threw 3 shutout innings, allowing just 1 hit, zero walks, and striking out six.

Bakersfield 8 – Stockton 1
Bakersfield won their 10th straight game Thursday.
Tony Cingrani (2-1, 0.39 ERA) held his opponent scoreless for the third time in four starts. In this outing, he gave up just one hit, one walk, and struck out 8 batters.
Billy Hamilton went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and stole four more bases. That increase his season total to 23 swipes in 27 attempts. Donald Lutz went 2 for 4, including a triple and his 5th homerun. David Vidal also collected two base hits.

Dayton 3 – Wisconsin 1 in 10 innings
Dayton trailed 1-0 most of the game until Danny Vicioso’s game-tying, two-out bloop single in the top of the 9th knotted the game at 1-1. Jefry Sierra and Ryan Wright followed with RBI singles in the 10th inning to give Dayton the win.
Justice French allowed just 1 run on 5 hits in his 6 inning start. He struck out 8 and did not walk a batter.
The Dragons got four perfect innings of relief work from Brooks Pinckard and Kyle McMyne. Pinckard struck out two batters, McMyne struck out three.
