Daniel Dorn and Mike Costanzo each had two hits, a single and a double.

Brett Tomko (0-3, 3.48 ERA) gave up just 2 runs on 4 hits and a walk in six innings. He struck out 8 batters. Without any run support, Tomko picked up the loss.

Jacksonville 6 – Pensacola 5

The Blue Wahoos were down 5-0 after 4 innings, scored four runs in the 6th inning, and then tied it at 5-5 in the 9th inning. Jacksonville’s Donnie Webb would lead off the bottom of the 9th with a triple and later score on a walk-off single.

Ryan LaMarre was 2 for 4 with a double, RBI, and stolen base. Brian Peacock also had two hits.

Pedro Villareal (3.38 ERA in 5 starts) had his roughest start of the year, giving up 5 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks. He gave up one homerun and struck out two batters. Donnie Joseph made his 9th consecutive shutout appearance, striking out 2 batters in the scoreless 8th inning.

Wisconsin 4 – Dayton 3

Another walk-off loss for a Reds affiliate as Wisconsin’s Greg Hopkins belted the game-winning home run in the bottom of the 9th.

Theo Bowe, Steve Selsky, and Brandon Dailey each had a single and an extra base hit for Dayton.

Stalin Gerson (3.74 ERA in 4 starts) allowed 3 runs, 2 earned, over 5 innings. He gave up 7 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 2.
