Minor League Players of the Day: Louisville starter, Chad Reineke threw 6 innings of unearned baseball (gave up 1 unearned run), while giving up 4 hits and 3 walks and striking out 4 and getting the win for the Bats.

AAA

Louisville 4 – Indianapolis 2

Chad Reineke threw 6 strong innings, allowing 1 unearned run (4 hits, 3 walks, 4 strikeouts) for the win.

Paul Janish continued his hot start, going 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk as did Dioner Navarro (2-4 double); Nefi Soto also collected 2 hits.

AA

Pensacola 10 – Montgomery 4

The Blue Wahoos scored 4 in the top of the first and never looked back. Offensively they were paced by Cody Puckett’s 3-5 and two hit nights from Ryan LaMarre (2 doubles), Henry Rodriguez (double), Joel Guzman (double), and Didi Gregorius.

They also got strong relief work from Drew Hayes, going 2 hitless innings, striking out 3.

High A

Bakersfield 6 – Stockton 5

The Blaze jumped out to a 6 – 0 lead and held on to win, 6-5.

David Vidal was 2-5 with 2 solo homers, Donald Lutz was 2-5 with a homer and 3 RBI.

Billy Hamilton had a rare bad night, going 0-4, but did walk and stole his 17th and 18th bases of the season (22 attempts).

Nice start by Chad Rogers, 6 innings, 6 hits, 1 run, 3 strikeouts.

Low A

Dayton 8 – Cedar Rapids 3

The Dragons exploded for 5 runs in the 7th, breaking a 3-3 tie to even their record at 9-9 on the season.

Juan Perez went 3-4 with a double and a walk; Junior Arias went 2-4 with a triple, Kyle Waldrop continued his hot start, going 2-3 with a walk, as did Yovan Gonzalez, going 2-3.

Daniel Tuttle, in his first game back from a 50 game suspension (last game pitched was 7/15/11), threw 6 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 5 hits, striking out 4.

Dayton area native, Dan Jensen got his first win of the season, going 2 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 2. Jenson has not allowed an earned run all season (7 games/13 innings), but is 1-2 on the season.

Jimmy Moran threw a hitless 9th.
