POSITIVES
–Zach Cozart had a couple of hits, again. I like that he plays for the good guys.
NEGATIVES
–Mike Leake once again gives up a big inning and that’s the game.
–Alfredo Simon did not pitch well. This is not the first time that has happened.
–The Reds failed to capitalize on a number of opportunities. This game could easily have gone differently.
–A couple of errors didn’t make things any easier.
NOT-SO-RANDOM THOUGHTS
–Well, that stunk. I’m as high on Mike Leake as anybody, but he has not impressed me to start the season. This was only his third start though, and I’ll look for him to get it together next time out.
–Getting beat by the Cubs always stinks, no matter who you are. However, a win tomorrow would give the Reds their second series victory of the year and I would be okay with that.
