The organization played day two with much poorer results.

AAA
Columbus 3 – Louisville 2

Louisville left fielder, Daryl Jones, led the game off with a homerun, and scored the only other Bats run after walking in the 9th inning. Brett Tomko went 5 innings for the Bats, giving up 2 long balls and all three Columbus runs. He walked 2 and struck out 7 batters.

Montgomery 9 – Pensacola 3

Curtis Partch had a rough start, surrendering 6 runs in 3 innings for the loss.

High A
Visalia 9 – Bakersfield 3

This game was a bit rough defensively for Bakersfield. Visalia scored 4 unearned runs in the 4th inning on an error, passed ball, and two wild pitches. Bakersfield would go on to commit 4 errors, allowing 6 unearned runs. Starting pitcher Chad Rogers worked 2.2 innings, allowing 2 hits and 3 walks, 4 runs all unearned. Converted Louisville Bats infielder, Michael Griffin, made his season debut as a pitcher, allowing just 1 hit, no walks and two strikeouts.

3B David Vidal was 2-for-4 with a HR in the bottom of the 9th inning.

Low A
Dayton 3 – West Michigan 2

This was a real pitchers’ duel until the 9th inning. The score was 1-1 in the 9th until Dragon right-hander, Jim Moran gave up a 2-out solo homerun to Whitecaps catcher Curt Casali. However, West Michigan couldn’t retire a single batter in the bottom of the 9th. Juan Silva led off the inning with a walk followed by three straight singles for the Dragon walk-off victory.

Radhames Quezada started for the Dragons, pitching 4 innings of 1-run baseball. He walked 3 and struck out 3.
