Sports Illustrated injury guru Will Carroll has posted his annual Team Health Reports. It’s generally good news for the Reds, with key players Jay Bruce and Brandon Phillips receiving Green lights (low risk), with Joey Votto a “soft” Yellow, and new arms Mat Latos, Sean Marshall, and Ryan Madson also in the Yellow.
Not that it’s news to us, but Scott Rolen is a Red light injury risk, as are young pitchers Johnny Cueto, Mike Leake, and Homer Bailey.
It’s worth a read. Carroll, who lives in Indianapolis and gets down to GABP fairly regularly, has some interesting, positive observations about the Reds management — particularly the high level of trust between the Reds medical team and ballclub.
