Dragons fought back from a 2-0 deficit to win the first game of their best of 3 playoff series with the Lansing Lugnuts.

The Dragons were led by Donald Lutz, who went 3-4 with a homer and drove in 3 runs; Billy Hamilton went 2-3 with a walk and drove in 2 runs, Jefry Sierra was 2-3 with a double and drove in 2 runs and Juan Duran was 2-4.

Daniel Corcino went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6. Charles Rogers gave up a run in an inning of relief work on 2 hits, but Blaine Howell and Drew Hayes held the Lugnuts scoreless in the final two innings.

Rookie Ball

Billings 2 – Helena 1 13 innings

The Mustangs did their part in their attempt to make the playoffs, but with Great Falls winning, Billings was eliminated.

Steve Selsky was 2-5 with a game winning homer and a walk. Sean Buckley went 2-5 with a double and Robert Maddox went 1-4 with a homer as both of the Mustang runs came on solo homers.

7 Mustangs pitchers combined on the 4 hit one run performance. Carlos Gonzalez went 6 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit while striking out 7.

AZL Reds

The rookie league Reds finished the regular season in 2nd place, three games back in the AZL Central division with a 31-25 record and qualified for the playoffs as the Wildcard team. They lost 9-3 in the one game playoff with the Giants.
