Columbus 12 – Louisville 4

Kris Negron went 2-4 with a double and a walk, Denis Phipps went 2-4, Danny Dorn went 1-5 and hit his 18th homer of the season.

Jerry Gil threw 1.1 hitless/scoreless innings, walking one. Utility player Michael Griffin threw the final frame, allowing an unearned run on 2 hits.

San Jose 10 – Bakersfield 1

The Blaze had as many errors as they had hits (3). No one had more than one and there were no extra base hits by the Blaze.

Scott Gaffney threw 2 scoreless innings only giving up one hit, but he walked 4, while only striking out 1.

Dayton 6 – Bowling Green 5

Dayton keeps rolling along towards the playoffs (they’ve clinched the 2nd half division title), trying to set a team record for winning percentage in a half of the season.

Redleg Nation Spotlight Player, Tucker Barnhart, led the offense, going 2-4 with a double (hitting in the #3 spot), Donald Lutz also went 2-4 with a double, Ronald Torreyes went 2-5.

Blaine Howell picked up his 9th save, going 2 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 3.

Rookie Ball

Billings 14 – Helena 9

Bryson Smith hit for the cycle, going 4-6 and driving in 5 runs. Juan Perez also went 4-6, with a double. Ryan Wright just missed the cycle, going 3-6 with a double, triple, and homer. Sammy Diaz went 2-4 with a homer and walk, Nick O’Shea went 2-5 with a walk and Yovan Gonzalez went 2-5.
