Devin Mesoraco went 1-3 and hit his 13th homerun of the season with the Bats.

Edinson Volquez allowed 3 runs (only 1 earned) on 7 hits and 3 walks.  He struck out 8.

Montgomery 12 – Carolina 7
Henry Rodriguez went 3-4 with 2 doubles, an RBI, and a run scored.  Eric Campbell went 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.  Cody Puckett hit his 10th homerun of the season, a 2 run shot in the 5th inning.

Josh Ravin allowed 4 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks in 4 innings pitched.  Kyle McCulloch allowed 5 runs on 3 hits and 2 walks in just .2 innings of relief.  Ravin and McCulloch combined to allow 9 of the 10 runs that scored in the 6th inning.

Ryan LaMarre went 3-4 with a double and a run scored.  Brodie Greene had 2 RBI after going 1-4 in the game with a double.

J.C. Sulbaran allowed 5 runs on 6 hits and a walk in 6 innings pitched.  He struck out 4.

West Michigan 10 – Dayton 5
Juan Duran hit a 3 run homerun in the 8th inning for his 13th homer of the season.  Donald Lutz had 2 singles, an RBI, and a run scored.

Josh Smith gave up 5 runs on 5 hits and walked 4 guys in 3 innings pitched to fall to 10-7 on the season.  He struck out 4.

Billings 5 – Great Falls 4
Nick O’Shea, Juan Silva, and Cristobal Rodriguez had 2 hits each.  The three combined for a double, RBI, and 4 runs scored.

Porfirio Martinez retired only 1 batter in the 9th inning, but that was enough to pick up the win.  Martinez is now 1-0 on the season.

The AZL REDS had a day off on Friday.
