From the Enquirer:

3B Scott Rolen today had arthroscopic surgery to remove bone spurs and fragments from the acromioclavicular joint in his left shoulder.

The successful procedure was performed in Cincinnati Reds (sic) by medical director Dr. Timothy Kremchek, who expects a full recovery. Rolen is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

This takes him very close to the end of the season, I see no reason to bring him back this year (and honestly wish he’d retire).

If they were smart, they’d tell Rolen “See ya next year”….and make Frazier the starter for the foreseeable future (this season) and see what he’s got.

Might be time for a poll question…”Should Scott Rolen retire?”
