Dave Sappelt and Kris Negron had 2 hits each with Sappelt scoring a run and Negron adding an RBI. Denis Phipps had a double in 5 at-bats while driving in 2 runs.
Travis Wood walked 8 batters and allowed 3 hits but was able to minimize the damage and allow only 2 runs through 5 innings. The win pushed his record to 2-1 on the season. Jerry Gil pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief and struck out 4. Jordan Smith recorded his 4th save of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th inning. He allowed a hit and struck out 2.

Carolina 4 – Jacksonville 2
Henry Rodriguez was the only Mudcats player to record 2 hits. Rodriguez went 2-3 with 2 singles. Bill Rhinehart hit his first homerun with the Mudcats, he hit 21 with Harrisburg. Rhinehart drove in 2 RBI.
Kyle McCulloch ran his record to 5-5 with the win. McCulloch allowed 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks while striking out 2. Tim Gustafson recorded his 2nd save by pitching a scoreless 1.1 innings in which he allowed 2 hits.
High A
Modesto 7 – Bakersfield 3
Jordan Wideman went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. Dayne Read and Andrew Means added RBI as well.
Josh Ravin fell to 2-8 overall on the year by allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on 6 hits and 3 walks while striking out 6.

Bowling Green 9 – Dayton 3
David Vidal hit a solo homerun in the 4th inning, his 14th homerun of the season. Theo Bowe went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored.
Pat Doyle pitched 1.1 innings of relief and allowed 6 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks to pick up the loss and drop to 6-3 on the season.

Billings 4 – Helena 2
Sean Buckley’s 11th homerun of the season came in the bottom of the 12th with a runner on to give the Mustangs the walk-off win. Buckley ended the game 1-4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI.
Tony Cingrani pitched 4 shutout innings in the start. He allowed 2 hits and walked a batter while striking out 4. Reliever El’Hajj Muhammad pitched 2 scoreless innings to pick up the win. He allowed a hit and struck out 3.
AZL Reds 7 – AZL Reds 5
Brandon Dailey went 2-5 with a triple, run scored, and 3 RBI. Juan Perez and Gabriel Rosa went 2-4 each and both scored a run.
Eliezer Beard struck out 5 and allowed 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks. Both runs allowed were unearned. Christopher Joyce picked up the win by pitching 3 innings and allowing 1 unearned run on 2 hits and 5 strikeouts. Alejandro Chacin picked up his 6th save. Chacin did allow an unearned run in the game, his first of the season.
