Let’s recap tonight’s titanic struggle….

L: B. Arroyo (7-9)
BOX SCORE

POSITIVES
–No positives. Well, Joey Votto had a double and a homer, I guess.

–Aaaahh, screw it. I don’t have the energy to recap that nonsense. Three straight losses to the Mets, and now the good guys are trying to scramble to avoid getting swept in a four-game series. Sheesh.

The Cincinnati Reds are in complete disarray right now. Nothing is going right. They can’t hit, they can’t pitch, and the defense has been disastrous lately.

I hate when people say a team looks like they aren’t trying, or they don’t care. It’s always an oversimplification. These are professionals we’re talking about.

However, I do have to admit that the Reds appear to be playing some pretty uninspired baseball right now. I don’t know why, and I don’t have any answers. I know there is no reason to believe that they can’t rip off six wins in a row and get right back in the race. It’s not impossible, and I’ll be watching every game, hoping for just that.

But the Reds are doing everything wrong right now, and they aren’t fun to watch. I’m tired of this nonsense.
