David Cook went 2-4 with a homer, Felix Perez went 2-4, Nefi Soto went 1-2 with a homer (15) and a walk, and Rich Rodriguez went 2-4 with a double. Denis Phipps was 1-4 with a homer.
James Avery got the win, going 5.2 allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, walking 1 and striking out 1. Tim Gustafson got the save, throwing 1.1 hitless/scoreless innings.
Carolina 6 – Huntsville 2 Game 2
Denis Phipps was 3-4 with a double and a homer, Quinton Berry was 2-4 with a homer, and Jake Kahaulelio went 2-4 with a double.
Brandon Hynick got the win, going 5.1, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, but he walked 3, he did strike out 4. Jon Adkins and Chris Mobley did combine for 1.2 hitless/scoreless innings.

The Dragons only managed 3 hits in a game that was called after 5 1/2 innings. The Silverhawks scored all three of their runs in the top of the 5th and Dayton’s turn at bat was washed out.
