AAA
Yonder Alonso went 3-4, Dave Sappelt went 2-4 with a homer, and Chris Valaika went 2-4.
Great work out of the bullpen, Jeremy Horst threw 2.2 hitless innings, striking out 3 and Jerry Gil picked up his 5th save with a scoreless 9th.
AA
The Denis Phipps show continues in Zebulon, he went 3-5 with a homer. He’s never hit like this in his career, I have no idea where it’s coming from.

High A
2B Jose Gualdron was 2-4 with 2 doubles, Mark Fleury and Stephen Hunt both were 2-4.
Great night for the Blaze pitching staff, starter J.C. Sulbaran threw 6 shutout innings, allowing 3 hits and striking out 7. Clayton Shunick threw 2 innings, striking out 3 and Doug Salinas picked up his 7th save with a hitless 9th.
Low A
Billy Hamilton was 2-3 with 2 walks, he also picked up his 59th and 60th SB, and was thrown out for the 9th time. Ronald Torreyes continues his hot hitting, going 2-2 with a triple and a walk. Jefry Sierra was 2-4 with a double.
Kyle Lotzkar has a very unusual pitching line, 4.2 IP 2 H 5 R 5 ER 1 BB 7 K. In the 5th, he gave up all 5 runs, mostly because he hit 3 guys in the inning. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a pitcher hit 3 guys in an inning. The South Bend manager was thrown out after the second guy as hit, I don’t know if there’s a correlation. But then Kyle hit another guy.
Great relief work by Chad Rogers, who got the win with 2.1 hitless innings and Blaine Howell, who notched his 8th save with 2 scoreless innings.
Rookie Ball
Sean Buckley went 3-4 with a homer and 2 stolen bases, Robert Maddox went 2-4 with 2 doubles, and Devin Lohman went 2-5.
Wes Mugarian got the win, going 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, 3 walks, and 6 strikeouts. James Allen threw 1.2 hitless innings, and Brooks Pinckard picked up his second save with a scoreless 9th (he did walk 2 though).
Brandon Dailey went 2-5 with a double and homer.
