AAA
Louisville 5 – Columbus 4 13 innings
Devin Mesoraco was 2-5 with a triple and homer (9) (and a throwing error), Jeremy Hermida was 2-5 with a double and walk, Cozart only had one hit (and a walk), but it was a triple.
The Bats bullpen gave them 8.2 innings of shutout 2 hit baseball. Carlos Fisher (2.2), Brad Boxberger (1), Nick Christiani (2) were 3 of the relievers, David Johnson (3) got the win finishing up the game with 3 no hit innings, striking out 2.
Read in today’s Enquirer that Dontrelle Willis was pulled from his start because Bronson Arroyo experienced some dizziness. He’s going to be fine and make his Wednesday start, but it shows who the next guy coming up when the Reds need him is going to be.

Jacksonville 5 – Carolina 5 Game suspended after 10 innings.
Denis Phipps continues his hot streak, going 2-3, with a homer and 2 walks. His last 10 games, he’s .422/.471/.800 and after a plus 1.100 month of June, he’s over 1.200 for July thus far.
Justin Freeman threw 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out 3. Jon Adkins threw a scoreless inning.
High A
The Blaze only collected 3 hits, one for extra bases and Curtis Partch got shelled, giving up 10 hits and 7 runs (3 earned) in 3.2 innings. When the game was out of reach, the last 3 relievers threw well, throwing 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball (Thurman 1.1, Gaffney 1, Salinas 1).
Low A
Billy Hamilton went 2-4 with his 58th stolen base. Juan Duran went 2-4, and Jefry Sierra went 2-4 with a homer.
The Italian Import, Luca Panerati threw 2 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit. Drew Hayes picked up his 12th save and continued his scoreless streak, he hasn’t given up a run since May.
Rookie Ball
Sean Buckley was 2-5 with a double. No one else had more than one hit and the pitchers all allowed runs.
AZL Reds 5 – AZL D’Backs 4 11 innings
Brandon Dailey went 3-5 with a triple, Julio Morillo went 2-3 with a double, Juan Perez went 2-5.
Jordan Smith (in a rehab start) threw one inning and allowed a homer.
Alejandro Chacin threw 2 hitless/scoreless innings, striking out 3; but got a blown save because a run scored on the first batter he faced, who he got to hit into a DP. Now THAT is a tough blown save.
Ryan Kemp got the win, going 2 scoreless innings, striking out 3 also.
