Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips and Jay Bruce made the All-Star Game for the Reds. All three were voted in by the players. It is Bruce’s first All-Star Game. Votto and Phillips are going back for the second straight year.
I’m happy for them. I’m a huge Jay Bruce fan and am happy he’s going to his first (of, hopefully, many) Mid-Summer Classic.
I don’t think anyone’s surprised about Joey or Brandon.
