For the 2nd consecutive day, the Bats fall to Gwinnett by a 3-1 final. Yonder Alonso went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. Dave Sappelt was 2-4 with a double.
Chad Reineke picked up the loss and fell to 6-5 on the season. Reineke allowed 3 runs on 6 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings pitched. Tom Cochran struck out 5 and allowed 2 hits and a walk in 3 relief innings.

Tennessee 7 – Carolina 5
Denis Phipps, Henry Rodriguez, Felix Perez, and James Skelton had 2 hits each. Phipps had a single and a triple, scored a run, and drove in an RBI. Rodriguez had 2 singles as well as 2 RBI. Perez had 2 singles while Skelton had a single and a double as well as scoring 2 runs.
Tim Gustafson allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and a walk in 4 innings pitched. He struck out 3 and left with the game tied. Reliever Chris Mobley allowed 3 runs on 3 hits and a walk in 1 relief inning to pick up the loss and fall to 0-1 on the season.

For the 2nd consecutive day, the Blaze fall to Stockton by a 4-3 score. Ryan LaMarre and Chris Richburg had identical lines for Bakersfield. Each went 2-4 with a homerun, 1 run scored, and an RBI. It was LaMarre’s 4th homerun of the season and Richburg’s 5th.
J.C. Sulbaran allowed 4 runs on 4 hits and 4 walks in 3.2 innings to drop to 4-2 on the season. He struck out 2.

Bowling Green 6 – Dayton 5
Frank Pfister went 2-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Donald Lutz had 2 hits in 5 at-bats. Both hits were singles and he scored a run. Tucker Barnhart hit his 2nd homerun of the season, a 2-run shot in the 6th inning.
Kyle Lotzkar struck out 7 in 7 innings pitched. He allowed 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits and a walk. Luca Panerati picked up the loss by allowing 3 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in an inning of relief.
