Zach Cozart went 3-4 with a walk, Todd Frazier went 2-4 with a homer, Chris Valaika went 2-3 with a double.

Jeremy Horst got roughed up, giving up 2 runs and 4 hits in just 2/3 of an inning. Daryl Thompson started and threw 6 innings of 2 run baseball, giving up 8 hits and 2 walks, while striking out 3.

AA

Carolina 9 – Huntsville 2

Mike Costanzo went 2-4 with a triple and a walk, Nefi Soto went 3-4 with a homer and a BB (scored 3 runs, knocked in 2), Felix Perez went 2-5 with a double.

Yasmani Grandal seems to be adjusting to AA well, going 3-5 with 2 doubles, and David Cook went 3-3 with a double, homer, and 2 walks.

Pedro Villareal threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, 3 walks, and 3 K’s. Chris Mobley threw 2 shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out 3. Brad Boxberger threw the 9th and struck out the side.

Brodie Greene went 2-4 with 2 homers, Andrew Means went 2-4 with a double, Alex Buchholz went 2-4, as did Chris Richburg.

Dayton 9 – Lansing 4

Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Tucker Barnhart went 3-4, scoring 2 runs, Ronald Torreyes continued his very hot start at Dayton, going 3-4, and Theo Bowe went 2-4.

Daniel Corcino continued his strong season, going 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, walking 1 and striking out 8. Daniel Wolford threw 2 innings of shutout relief, allowing 1 hit and striking out 3.

Billings 11 – Missoula 5

Kurtis Muller went 3-5 with a homer, Junior Arias went 2-4 with 2 doubles, Kyle Waldrop went 2-5 with a double. Dayne Read, Robert Maddox, and Sean Buckley all homered.

James Allen got the win, going 2 shutout, 1 hit innings, striking out 2. Dan Jensen threw 1.2 shutout innings, allowing 1 hit, walking 1, and striking out 3.
