Minor League Player of the Day: Todd Frazier (Louisville) 3-5, 2 doubles, 1 run scored.

AAA
Pawtuckett 4 – Louisville 3
Todd Frazier went 3-5 with 2 doubles and a run scored.  Frazier also stole his 10th base of the season. Jeremy Hermida went 2-3 with 2 RBI while Zack Cozart also had 2 hits and scored a run.

Scott Carroll pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits while striking out 4.  However, he did not factor into the decision.  Brandon Hynick fell to 1-7 by surrendering a run in the 10th inning.  Hynick pitched 2 innings, allowed 1 run on 2 hits and 2 walks in relief.

Carolina 3 – Huntsville 2
Neftali Soto and Cody Puckett had 2 hits each and each hit a solo homerun.  For Puckett, it was his 9th homerun of the season and for Soto, his 6th.  Yasmani Grandal and Denis Phipps had 2 hits each as well, and both added a double.

Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Matt Klinker improved his record to 4-4 on the season with the win.  Matt went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits and 2 walks while striking out 4.  Bradley Boxberger picked up his 4th save of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th inning while striking out 2.

High A
Bakersfield 5 – Modesto 3
Didi Gregorius went 2-4 with 2 singles, a run scored, and an RBI.  Alex Buchholz also had 2 hits, both singles, and he drove in an RBI.

Mark Serrano struck out 8 in 7.2 innings pitched and improved his record to 2-1 on the season.  Serrano allowed 3 runs 5 hits and 2 walks.  All 3 runs Serrano allowed came via solo homeruns.  Clayton Shunick picked up his 3rd save of the season.  Shunick struck out 2 and allowed a hit in the 9th inning.

The Dragons resume play tonight versus Bowling Green.  The Dragons have been off for their All-Star break this week.
