Carolina 7 – Jackson 0
Quintin Berry, Neftali Soto, and Eric Campbell each homered to propel the Mudcats to an easy victory.  Berry and Campbell each homered for the first time with Carolina while Soto hit his 5th of the season.  Berry led the team with 3 RBI.

Aroldis Chapman started for Carolina and pitched only the first inning.  Chapman walked a batter and struck out 2.  Redleg Nation spotlight player Matt Klinker picked up the win by pitching 6 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits and walking 3 while striking out 1.  The win improved Matt’s record to 3-4 on the season.

Ryan LaMarre 2-4 with a triple and a run scored.

Mark Serrano fell to 1-1 on the season by allowing 3 runs on 5 hits and a walk in 7 innings pitched.  He struck out 2 and now has an ERA of 3.80 on the season.

Devin Lohman and Donald Lutz had 2 singles each in 4 at-bats.

Daniel Corcino pitched 6 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits and striking out 5.  Chad Rogers allowed a run in the 8th inning off of 2 hits to pick up the loss and drop to 1-3 on the season.  He struck out 2.
