Let’s recap tonight’s titanic struggle….

FINAL
Cincinnati 2
San Francisco 4

W: R. Ramirez (2-0)
L: J. Arredondo (0-2)
S: B. Wilson (18)
BOX SCORE

POSITIVES
–Drew Stubbs was 2-2 with a walk. Ramon Hernandez had a couple of hits. Scott Rolen had a double and an RBI.

–Edinson Volquez wasn’t particularly sharp (is he ever?), but six innings, two runs allowed on five hits, three walks and five strikeouts…it kept the Reds in the game.

NEGATIVES
–Jose Arredondo allowed two runs on two walks and a hit…and recorded one out. Sheesh.

NOT-SO-RANDOM THOUGHTS
–I’m really starting to dislike playing on national television. Reds never seem to answer the bell on these nights.

–Reds missed a golden opportunity tonight to take three out of four games on the road against the defending world champs. Very disappointing.

–It’s 2 AM and I just drove more than six hours across the state. I’m going to bed. The sun will come up tomorrow, Reds fans.
