Syracuse 4 – Louisville 3
Yonder Alonso hit his 8th homerun of the season and went 2-3 in the game with an RBI and 2 runs scored.  Yonder is now batting .327/.386/.525 in 223 at-bats at Louisville.

Chad Reineke allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 4.2 innings pitched.  Reineke’s record fell to 5-3 in his first start since being sent back down to Louisville from Cincinnati.

Tennessee 9 – Carolina 3
Denis Phipps, Eric Campbell, and Jake Kahaulelio each had 2 hits in the game, all of them went for singles.  Phipps and Kahaulelio each scored a run in the losing effort. 

Pedro Villareal allowed 5 runs on 8 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings pitched.  He struck out 8.  Aroldis Chapman made his second outing for Carolina and it went about how his recent outings have went.  He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits and 2 walks in 1.2 innings pitched.  He struck out 3.  Chapman threw 37 pitches and only 17 of those were strikes.

Stockton 4 – Bakersfield 2
Yasmani Grandal hit his 9th homerun of the season in the first inning.  It was the only hit of the game for Grandal.  The homerun drove in the only 2 Bakersfield runs.

Tim Crabbe allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings of relief to pick up the loss.  The loss dropped Crabbe’s record to 1-2 on the season.  Josh Ravin pitched well in the start, allowing only 1 run on 3 hits in 5 innings pitched.  He struck out 4.

Clinton 7 – Dayton 4
Dominic D’Anna hit his 4th homerun of the season, a solo shot in the 1st inning.  D’Anna went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI.  Devin Lohman went 2-5 with 2 singles, a run scored, and an RBI.  Billy Hamilton managed only 1 hit but he stole his 49th base of the season.  I am starting to think that this guy is fast.

Daniel Corcino struck out 8 in 5.1 innings pitched.  He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits and 0 walks but did not get the decision.  Daniel Wolford allowed 2 runs in 1 inning of relief to pick up his 1st loss of the season.  He did strike out the side in his 1 inning of work.
