Zach Cozart continued his sizzling June, going 3-5 with a triple and knocking in 3 runs (.486/500/.829 in June thus far), Devin Mesoraco also is very hot (.464/.559/.893 in June and .968 OPS on the season), with 2 more hits last night including a double, Chris Valiaka, Jermy Hermida, and Kris Negron also had 2 hits. Dan Dorn had a homer.

Tom Cochran raised his record to 6-1 going 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits, walking 2 and striking out 3.


Chattanooga 7 – Carolina 4

Mike Costanzo went 4-4 with a double; Felix Perez, Jake Kahaulelio, and Denis Phipps all had two hits; and Nefi Perez had a homer.

Jon Adkins threw 2 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and a walk.

Aroldis Chapman had another bad night, going 2/3 of an innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits (including a homer), but he did only walk 1. He didn’t strike out a batter.

Tzu-Kai Chiu threw 2 perfect innings, Andrew Bowman and Scott Gaffney threw scoreless innings as the bullpen held onto the win for the Blaze.

The Dragons wasted a very good effort by Dan Renken, going 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, walking 2 and striking out 7.
