Devin Mesoraco went 3-4 with a double (2 RBI) and Yonder Alonso went 2-4.

Scott Carroll threw 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits, and striking out 3. Nick Christiani picked up his first AAA save.


Jacksonville 3 – Carolina 1

The Mudcats only collected 4 hits and no one had more than one.

Lee Tabor threw 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits, walking 3 and striking out 3. Brad Boxberger had a scoreless inning.

Bakersfield 4 – Visalia 3

Stephen Hunt went 1-3 and drove in 2 runs, Andrew Means was 1-4 with a homer.

Curtis Partch threw what might have been the Reds minor league’s first complete game of the season (not sure), throwing 8 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 8 hits, walking 1 and striking out 3.

Beloit 11- Dayton 10

Dayton gave up 6 runs in the top of the 9th to lose 11-10.

Billy Hamilton went 3-5 with a run and 3 RBI. He also stole a base (41), got picked off, was caught stealing (7) and made an error (20th). David Vidal went 3-5 with a double and drove in 4 runs. Drew Poulk went 2-4 with a homer. Theo Bowe went 2-5 with a double and Redleg Nation Spotlight Player, Tucker Barnhart extended his hitting streak to 13, going 2-5.

Jamie Walczak threw 2 scoreless inning of relief (1 hit and 2 walk) before the roof caved in on the Dragons bullpen.
